Red is awful

Sat May 11, 2013 6:13 pm

Been holding this in for to long so here it is .

The promotion to the prem has been tarnished by this shit awful rebrand I hate it .Tan has taken the traditional colours away and with it a big big part of my love pride and passion with it .

Many people can just get on with it not me .

The most important thing for me is getting my clubs colours back any fan from any other club would agree.

I just hope my fellow fans have the fight needed to get it back.If Tan goes because of it then so be it nobody should be bigger than this club and Tan has been throwing his weight around now for to long.

I love my club but not like this its killing me .

There we go sorry but I had to get it out I feel better now :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Absolutely terrible attitude.

We all want the blue back but it is absolute madness to adopt a confrontational approach in trying to do so. We need to win VT over and not force him out.

Despite the rebrand I absolutely loved last season and it was brilliant being the best team in the division by a country mile. VT has is commercial reason for changing to red and I say let him get on with it while we enjoy the ride. At some point hopefully our lobbying will pay off and he will either give us the blue shirt back or hand over to someone else who will.

Red is just a blip but a blip where we can set ourselves up for decades to come.

dissagree this is no blip the longer the red is with us the harder it will be to remove it for the kids it will become the norm.

I think we both ultimatley want the blue back you have a way forward in lobying and I agree with that but as you can sense in my post I am filled to the brim with anger. What I meant was in this lobbying or what ever other process we do get the blue back but then Tan says ok I made a mistake and didnt realise the fans vievs, but then leaves well so be it.

If you are against it then don't get a season ticket and use actions to show your discontent. The time to moan about it on here has passed unfortunately. The euphoria of being promoted will simply drown your moaning out. I am so pleased that the club, players, staff and fans have witnessed us reach the Premiership though.

Re: Red is awful

I'm with you Bricky, so completely sick, of the red, it took the gloss off what we achieved this season for me too. I'll never accept it, I continue to attend matches because it was my club long before Tan thought about making a buck out of it and why should I give up my season ticket to some glory supporting red. Walked in and straight back out of the club shop earlier almost all horrible red tat in there now. Appreciate the investment of course but VT gets no respect from me for messing with our traditional blue kit and badge. I want to do something more proactive than just wear blue to matches but everything so far has been poorly organised. We need a peaceful and well organised professionally ran campaign of sorts that people are confident to get behind. Would need some unity to achieve anything, the support of high profile fans, so called fan leader, the trust and most fans but a lot of fans don't seem to give a toss so f**k knows what we can do to change Tans mind.

Unfortunately that will make no difference at all. There will be thousands out there who would buy a season ticket now that we're in the premiership. Even if 5000 people stopped going they'd be replaced by new fans.

I know in my heart the red is temporary. How temporary time will tell. Vt will not own us forever and putting us back in blue is a no brainer for new owners. As a reluctant red i just cant understand why some fans actually seem to like it

That is a complete load of shit mate what you have said .

Why the f**k should I walk away from my club I have supported for 34 years I love the club dont you tell me i should leave.

I have every right to voice my opinion on here I like you am so pleased we got promotion but the price we payed for it with the rebrand is to much.

why dont you walk away from your club maybe if he changes the name you would be pissed .

If a change of shirt colour affects your love of the club, you were never a real fan to begin with.

why would a new owner go through the expense of changing everything back to blue? As it stands now the fans don't seem bothered about being red. If the seats turn red then i can see us being that colour for quite some time. In fact, the only way i think we'll get our traditional colours back is if we suffer a few relegations and the crowd numbers drop significantly.

I think you will find that the majority of City fans were disappointed with the re-brand but their love for the club has remained. It is you who is in the minority, my friend. If you would rather the shirt remained blue and we ran the risk of dropping down the leagues or going out of business then that is your stance, but you are not speaking for most City fans.

Investment was needed, and for that to happen the owners wanted our shirts changed to red. Most disapproved, but most understood that it was better than the alternative. Fans who share your viewpoint seem to forget that teams have changed colours and badges (and sometimes names) since the very beginning of football. If the colour blue means that much to you, then wear an old home shirt or the new away shirt. Better yet, stop complaining about it and stop going to watch the team. There will be thousands waiting to take your seat.

So some fans will keep going even though they despise red just so another fan cant buy their ticket?

Re: Red is awful

Same old boring tripe. The blue has gone, get over it or let it eat you up inside as it wont be coming back for the forseeable future.

You dont have to love the red, or even like it but please this whole topic and debate is boring, it has all been said and will be said again 100 times over by other people. Time to accept the changes, reluctantly if need be and move forward.

As I said, most disapproved but accepted it had to be done to secure investment. You can complain all you like, but most "campaigns" to return to blue and such alike have garnered very little support. Deal with it? You not to deal with the fact that your whining is falling on deaf ears and most people on this forum are sick and tired of this rehashed babble that you are spouting. If you come up with something creative and original let me know.

As far as me "rolling over", I think logic and rationality prevailed over the idea my team might go out of business if we remained blue. You seem to have your priorities wrong and your stubbornness and inability to see sense is something this club could do without.

Whether you like it or not, the blue won't go away, as proved by Tan's speech recently and fans like myself voicing our wishes has probably ensured the Bluebird has remained on our badge. We were never going to go out of business, keep believing Tan's threats and lies, but Tan has said if he ever steps down he will leave our club in good shape. Some fans are obviously more gullable than others. You're the one who first commented, so it's your own fault you're getting this "rehashed babble". In my opinion, your stubborness in wanting us to succeed at any cost while wiping away our identity and history is something this club can do without.

You don't think we were close to danger a couple of years ago? You don't seem to know much about the club.

I don't want the blue to go, but my love of the club has remained as I stated previously.

I'm not stubborn to succeed, I'm stubborn to survive.

The very fact that some people on here are telling those people who dont like the red to stop supporting the club or to get over it is unbelievable.

We all no we needed the money and vt wanted to change the colour but we dont have to agree he made the right decision
do we .

people who except the change is fine but its also fine for those who dont.I have tried to move with the changes but I cant and I cant do anything about my feelings .

any other fan of any other club wouldnt be happy and i am no different why should i its the identity of my club that i love.

To tell me to go away and stop supporting my club is utter utter bollocks it unbelievable.

Seeing us play in red at home is soul destroying. If tan changed us back to blue during the summer, it would mean more to me then promotion.

Re: Red is awful

There is something we can do, and that is to CONTINUE to sing our normal songs...... BLUEBIRDS BLUEARMY WHOOOOOOOOAAAA BLUES, WHOOOOOOOAAA BLUES, WE'RE CARDIFF CITY WE'LL ALWAYS BE BLUE!

This is a part of Cardiff BLUE, that can NEVER be taken away, the power of the people shall remain loud.

How silly will it be if Tan redesigns the stadium to match his red desires, and MOST of the fans in the stadium was singing we'll always be blue?

Apparently, he heard loud and clear when he was walking around our pitch with the championship trophy, us singing We're Cardiff City we'll always be blue, and he actually respected the fans for standing up in what we believed.

He can not do anything about that. :ayatollah:

me to 100 %

This will never go away all this bickering about red or blue and another reason why i dont like tan is he has caused once united fans to have a heated debate with each other which has caused divide.

What he has done is rapped are club sorry that is strong but true all the same.

You CAN change the colours or logo of asda and who would give a f**k this is football its different but he just dont get it does he and he never will.

In my eyes the sooner he fucks off the better and he can take his red shit with him .
