Cardiff City say Malky Mackay has not been approached by Everton
Cardiff City have insisted Malky Mackay is planning for the Bluebirds’ Premier League future amid mounting talk of a formal Everton move for their highly-rated manager.

The Bluebirds hierarchy insist NO approach has yet been made with them by Everton and that Mackay spent two hours in London on Friday outlining his transfer targets for the new 2013-14 campaign.

But privately Cardiff bosses will be braced for an Everton swoop, with the odds on Mackay going to Goodison Park plummeting as low as 2/1 with some bookmakers.

Departing Everton boss David Moyes has talked to the media for the first time since his own appointment as Manchester United manager, saying he will help chairman Bill Kenwright look for his successor.

Kenwright insists he wants to find ‘the new Moyes’, with many believing Mackay fits the bill as that man.

There have been radio reports that Everton have already made an approach for Mackay.

Please stay Malky! The Evertonians won't treat you right- they won't now anything about the Malky fist pump! :laughing6: Show us how loyal and committed you are by rejecting the chance to go there.

Everton will not change back room staff, it's not the way they do things! They've had the same scouts, coaches, assistants for years, it's a stable club and requires any manager to adapt
