Just speaking to an Evertonian

Fri May 10, 2013 3:23 pm

An old mate who is the font of knowledge at Goodison Park. He firmly believes there will be several other approached apart from Malky and doesn't even consider him to be in the top 3 wanted list. Although serious money was placed on Lennon in Northern Ireland last night, his prediction is Roberto Martinez

Martinez, seems like the only sensible choice to me
1. Has Premiership experience
2. Can operate on a budget
3. Plays a good brand of football
4. handles the media brilliantly
5. Should be available without any compensation being paid out
and
6. A long shot, but actually may be an FA cup winning manager come the weekend!!
LOOK NO FURTHER EVERTON

I hope its Martinez , because if its Lennon ,it'll be Malky to Celtic . That job he won't turn down .

Everton would be fools if they looked beyond Martinez and if MM went ther I'd expect us to put him top of our list.

I think the Everton board were naive and thought that Moyes would sign a new contract. This has hit them on the back foot and they will weight up all their options.

My money is on Bilic, former player and captian, done well at managing Croatia and would get the best out of Jelevic. He was only 7/1 for taking them over last summer and now odds of 33/1 for him to be given the call.

Mate lets be honest Martinez is a good manager, he's kept Wigan in the prem for a few seasons and that n all honesty is a f*cking massive achievement. At Everton he would walk in with a better squad and a club with bigger ambitions he would at minimum keep them at the same level.

Maybe Everton are waiting to see the fate of Brighton Manager Gus Poyet's play off events?

I can see Poyet at Everton, if Martinez doesn't get it.
