IF Malky were to leave (which I don't thnink he will) who would you want as the next CCFC manager?
Fri May 10, 2013 1:48 pm
I really can't believe we're even talking about this
Fri May 10, 2013 2:02 pm
Don't want to see him leave but if we have to find a replacement then di matteo would be my choice.

Rafa Benitez for me
Great manager, knows the premier league, great contacts in the game , knows a lot of good foreign players and wants to stay in the prem

Definitely Di Matteo. A manager who got WBA promoted and won the CL in such a short stint should not be disregarded.
Granted, not the best footballing style, but points, not flair, are what counts. If flair counted as much as people think it did then Arsenal and Swansea would be winning the Premier League and Watford and Palace would have got promoted.
Di Matteo would make the best use of our players, tighten up where we need it and will also be able to draw in quality counter attacking players. I sense a player like Kalou could come if Matteo is here.

oh ffs get a grip. There is not a chance of Benitez coming here unless someone drugs him and tells him the dragon on our badge is a Liverbird.

I'd have a tenner on this. I loves a good conspiracy me.
Fergie (Jock) retires
Moyes (Jock) gets his job
Malky (Jock) gets Moyes' job
So that leaves . . . .
May need a new smilie

Dougie Freedman or Chris Powell to do a similar job to Malky.
Poyet will stay with Brighton because he's in a similar position to Malky, he has his own stuff, his own staff, his own facilities, his own players.
OR.....
If Tan has a change of mind and goes f**k it, I don't want to spend just 25m in one season, I want to go the whole hog and compete with the elite then he has to go for the elite managers. Di Matteo I feel is someone who just picked up the pieces of AVB's work and will not join us as if he gets relegated with us, it will tarnish his reputation as a CL winning manager. Benitez we don't have a chance with, it could happen if he wanted to stay in England(well the BPL).. Mourinho is an even longer shot, is friends with Tan though and wants to return to the BPL but can see him returning to Chelsea unfortunately. Laurent Blanc isn't really out of the equation in my eyes, maybe he wants to test himself as a Premier League manager, after managing Bordeaux and the French national team? Laudrup took over a mid table Swansea side with backing so why couldn't Blanc?
Solskjaer is a new upcoming manager, but I feel he has the right contacts to become a great manager.

With VT, it (the Liverbird) could be arranged

The poll questions was "Who do you want?", whether we can get that choice is another question.
Fri May 10, 2013 4:31 pm
Someone who plays football ,not hoofball maybe someone in the mold of the Southampton manager
Fri May 10, 2013 4:35 pm
Don't want him to go, but Chris Powell if he does.
Fri May 10, 2013 4:36 pm
Dougie Freedman or Chris Powell
Powell ideally as I think he has a very similar ethos to Malky and I don't think Dougie would leave Bolton yet.

Alex Ferguson - he's got Premier League experience, won a few trophies (so he's already got that monkey off his back), and hates the scousers as much as I do.....no brainer.
