scores good goals but do we really know what else he does.

He has an ego, performs when it suits him and is lazy. Think of Taarabt but not as technically gifted with more pace. He scores wonderful goals but is not consistent at all. On his day he could destroy a team but he rarely gets going and turns it on to that level.

if its true and he is on a free, i think he will be perfect as a squad player

If we can sign him on a free, he'd be a brill signing.

Never been a fan of his, scores goals but general play never impresses me.
On a free I don't care either way.

I take it this is till on the cards then.

You can't go wrong for Lewis McGuguan on a FREE. He'd be a decent squad player, He's scored some spectacular goals in the past and being given more time on the ball in the PL he will score! He's 24 and still has his best years to come yet!
