Into even money with some bookies for the Everton job

Malky and Laudrup drifting slightly

Re: Neil Lennon

Moved dramatically throughout the day. Martinez was favourite, now Lennon. Malky was longer odds than Laudrup but has now shortened inside him.

Just a thought but if Lennon went , would Malky accept the Celtic job if offered?

Evertonian mate of mine expects them to go with experience this time and not take the unproven route

Here's hoping

Jesus wept. We've had enough scenarios already! We don't need another :D

Sorry mate but you brought Lennon into the equation  and personally I would think there is more chance of Malky going there than Everton :(

Welcome to the premier league merry-go round us!

Re: Neil Lennon

yeah too true and we've got all summer to go too !!

Re: Neil Lennon

The manegerial merry go round. If Fergie has left Man U - Moyes leaves Everton to go to Man U - Lennon leaves Celtic to go to Everton - Malky leaves Cardiff to go to Celtic....surely only means one thing. Fergie's on his way to Cardiff

I would have thought there was more chance of him going to Celtic than Everton. I would hope the chance of trying his hand in the Prem may outweigh the draw of his roots, but they do have Champions League again.

We need Everton to employ a manager that stops the merry go round. They can have Martinez, Laudrup or Benitez as there is no draw for Malky there. We need them to stay away from Lennon & O'Neil

I Agree Malky will stay...just pointing out he is NOT going to Everton (IMO ).

Re: Neil Lennon

I don't believe he'd be overly tempted by the Celtic job.

I also am shocked that Everton are being linked with Lennon.

Re: Neil Lennon

Rafa to the toffee's,Lennon stays with the hula hoop's,mm's stays with city, job done.

Re: Neil Lennon

If this was 2 years on, id say if lennon got the job malky would be fav for celtic. but malky hasnt managed in the premier league yet, so managing a premier league club is much bigger than celtic, and that job always opens up every 4/5 years.

Re: Neil Lennon

Fri May 10, 2013 7:22 am

cant imagine why any young up and coming manager who just took a team to the premier league would want to manage celtic.

Re: Neil Lennon

Fri May 10, 2013 7:30 am

I cant see why malky would want to leave us?

He has built his own squad of players who got him the chance to manage in the premier league, he is going to have a fairly decent transfer budget which he WON'T have at Everton.

I believe that he will want to prove himself as a premier league manager with us, and maybe if we have 1/2 good seasons then maybe he may be more tempted with offers away, but for now (IMO) I cant see him leaving.

If Wigan are relegated then I think Martinez will go to Everton, after all if you want a good manager thats used to working on a tight budget then surely Martinez fits the bill as far as Everton are concerned.

But club wise they are on another planet!!! One of the biggest clubs in the world irrespective of what league they play in. Malkys going nowhere anyway, he's just got into the prem, it meant a hell of a lot to him that did. He's not going to throw it away, not this season anyway. We better hope the toffees new manager does well otherwise next summer they will come knocking and it's morel likely he will take it on.

I thought the same as you, then i thought why wouldnt he go? If he stays and we are in the bottom 3 by xmas, whose to say our fans wont turn on him, we arent exactly a loyal bunch when the teams not playing well, people wanted him gone this season at times! Plus chairman are prone to gambling on sacking the manager when in hard times with half the season gone and bringing in someone else for a hail mary! At least at everton he will have a bit more backing

Really don't want that toxic individual in the Premier League.

What mileage is there in Malky going to Celtic. He is a young manager with ambition and what challenges are there at Celtic for him. The league is a gimme every season and anything less than the double would be considered a failure.
How does he move to a higher position after that because the above trophies would not enhance his reputation he would just be standing still

Well Lennon being linked with the Everton job kind of proves that theory wrong. He could get Champions League experience at Celtic which is what Lennon has done which has raised his profile.
