no chance ,not with his dodgy dealings,we'd be even more fucked

Re: if malky goes i want rednapp

He's the angel of death. Every club he's been at ends up getting into trouble financially (except spurs as he had no control over finances and signings),

QPR are next down the shitter.

No thanks..

Terrible manager, hardly developed a player through his career. Buys finished articles. The antithesis of Malky.

So he had nothing to do with Frank Lampard, Joe Cole and others at West Ham then..? Paulo Di Canio was a finished article when he signed for West Ham then..?

No chance. The twitcher alone would be bad enough, but he would want Joe Jordan here as well. Too much baggage and "corruption" allegations, would mean more court cases for the club. We have had our share of dodgy characters (SH, PR and DJ), its someone else's turn now.

He was 31 When he signed

If two (and i'd argue against Cole who had two-three real good seasons in his career) players in a thirty year career and one trophy at a club now playing in League Two because he spent money they didn't have to win the FA Cup is all you've achieved in a career. Plus four relegations, it's not great

Leaves West Ham - financial trouble
Leaves Portsmouth - financial trouble.

West Ham were in financial trouble AFTER Redknapp left because a new chairman who arrived AFTER Redknapp had his finances in an Icalandic bank!!!

Yes Di Canio was 31 but his performances when he signed were the best throughout his career (he even admits that himself) so surel thats not someone whos the 'finished article' as you say!!!

What about Gareth Bale then..? When Redknapp took over Spurs Bale was in the f*cking reserves!!!!

Yeah he was so involved in Bale's development he tried to sell him http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... ender.html

West Ham had trouble and were relegated 2 season after he left, got promoted then the icelandic stuff happened.

Look at who he signed at Spurs:

Adebyor, Van Der Vaart, Friedel, Parker, Saha, Gallas, Crouch,

Not exactly young players for development.

NOOOOOO! I don't fancy ending up in League 2 without even enough money to pay for the bog roll in the toilets. That's what he did to Portsmouth and its what is going to happen to QPR when they don't get promoted next year and Fernandes walks away.

Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Jermain Defoe, Michael Carrick, Rio Ferdinand, Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Kyle Walker, Glen Johnson (at Pompey) to name a few...

Just because players aren't young its not to say that they aren't valueable surely. I bet if we didn't have Bellamy then things would have been different both on the training ground and on the pitch this season.

So to say that he was to blame for the West Ham financial situation is complete bollox then. Also that Bale story was in 2009 then a few years playing under Redknapp it has helped him become one of the best players in the world!!! To say that Redknapp had no help in Bales progress again is complete bollox!!!

Rubbish article, that's just a rumour that Birmingham fancied him after his slow start at Spurs (which Redknapp developed him out of)

You are forgetting the likes of Modric, Kyle Walker, Defoe, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto, Huddlestone who were all younger players who he signed or who were already there and grew under Harry,

I'd rather watch his son's shite punditry.

Re: if malky goes i want rednapp

Remember Portsmouth were owned by a billionaire who was bankrolling them and then withdrew support after Harry left, hardly his fault?

QPR haven't gone bankrupt yet and again it seems many more people than Harry spent money and approved the spending there.

Southampton was the inevitable consequence of getting relegated after building a new stadium.

West Ham's problems were well after Harry and I'm sure the big fees for the likes of Defoe, Carrick, Johnson, Lampard, Ferdinand etc actually helped them stay alive if anything.

The responses to this thread are absolute tosh.

My opposition to Harry taking over would be very little except I am not sure if he would have the same mindset as Malky and therefore undo or halt some of the good work Malky is doing in changing our club back to front.

So you are blaming Redknapp now for Mark Hughes' shit signings at QPR!!!!

Re: if malky goes i want rednapp

Thu May 09, 2013 3:56 pm

Redknapp is overrated in my opinion. He has had many relegation, and anyone who says its not his fault but Mark Hughes' fault that QPR have gone down is deluded. Yes Hughes messed up and played his part, but Redknapp got to spend million and had a squad of very good players and still didnt manage to save them, or even come close.

He has also had relegations with Southampton and caused the huge problems Pompey are currently in.

If Malky was to go, which he wont, Id like us to look at someone like Poyet.

So he takes no responsibility for Portsmouth then? 30 year career, 1 trophy, 4 relegations. History of buying older players.

If Malky goes (he wont) i'd hope we'd go in the same vein of a younger progressive manager like Ferguson.

That man should take more responsibility, I was living in portsmouth when he was there, all my mates were creaming over some of the signings made, I remember the day Sol Cambell rolled up on something like 50 grand a week, I thought then that a club with a max capacity of 20 thousand was sailing close to the wind, and some of the players subsequently signed were unbelievable, ok they were being bankrolled, but, and it's a very big but, surely twitchy should have had some thought for the future knowing it could all stop. but no not him he was all about personal glory, and f**k the future of the club, 1 FA cup with all those players, the bloke is a c**t, and I hope VT never gives Malky that sort of money, but if he did I hope Malky thinks about the future of CCFC.
