It's a bit cringeworthy and when the players sang it we sank to their time honoured level

On the other hand though, form will go out of the window in those two games next season. The'double'has never been achieved by either side. Don't bet against the run carrying on

Similarly their "We're waiting for you" response sets up the same cort of scenario.

How many times have we sung "We're the greatest team in football" and then lost It's just banter and if we took away the "bragging" type chants most stadiums would be pretty quiet on a match day

If they don't sing it, they're considered aloof and out of touch with fans.

And mate we have always had a classier hardcore of fans but with the rebrand and the way we'(as a fanbase) have been manipulated, many acting like gullible sell outs. It's hardly the time to for 'we're classier than you' claims. Real class right now would involve a bit more humility and introspection. In otherwords keep our heads down and get our own house in order. This kit malarkey is embarrassing.

It's a f*cking quality chant, I don't care if it's cringey or whatsoever, I love how our players sang it with us and enjoyed the atmosphere. We haven't had a team that appreciates its fans like this in a while.

It's a good chant, down the sennedd on sunday, a couple in their late 40's heard the chant & muttered *that's disgusting* before storming out of the music area CCFC fanbase is changing for the worse

They have been lauding it over us for two seasons. I work in Bridgend so have discovered how many "hidden" Jacks there are. Phoney new ones or old school it still hurts when they take the piss, it was their right and I would not have been classier if it was the other way round.

It all stop on the first day of the season, the Europa cup is meaningless to me unless they get to the semi's and by then they will be shot and in 19th place.........

This was a great chant for April/May 2013, but we must leave it there.

Cant beat a bit of football rivalry mun, I cant wait to play the Jacks again, f*ck sake the song is only a bit of banter.

I am looking forward to the derby as much as playing the big clubs although we will need to strengthen our team to compete thats for sure.

to me it screams one thing - the team, unlike under some previous regimes, are at one with us. It is a chant in the heat of the moment - I never thought I'd chant anything about the Jacks until I started going away regularly - it just got me caught up in the whole emotion of it.

And I agree, it is banter, tribal aggression and re-affirmation, to them and to us - they chant similar back to us.

Not worth thinking of it on a commercial or corporate level, which if you did I would agree it is not what you might want - but there again, we are Cardiff City, not just a business, a football club.

Vinnie takes it in his stride plus all the dog's abuse about red/blue/yellow/black etc, so I think we should too. Don't take it too much to heart.

Made me cry seeing Hudson grabbing the mic down the bay - I felt they, the players, were as one with us. Haven't had that feeling down the City for far too long.

As for image United have sang about building bonfires and sticking scousers / City in it and burning the f*cking lot and it hasnt effected thier image. Theyve got the biggest fan base in the world.
