Blakey: Kev always looks like he's going to get injured to me. Can you carry that risk in the Premier League? There is no room for sentiment in football. But he did finish the season well.

Tucker: I love McNaughton. If anyone deserved a chance at the Premier League, it's him. That picture of him being carried off the pitch shows what he means to the Cardiff fans. But where will he stand in the pecking order?

Blakey: I expect three defenders to come in and maybe four or five others. Kev will then be third or maybe fourth choice at right back.

Tucker: He's handled that well this season though.

Blakey: Why would Malky Mackay leave Cardiff for Everton. They have a great squad but no money to spend. That squad is David Moyes' squad, the Cardiff squad is his squad.
You have to look to the future and ask 'where do I see this club in four or five years time?'

Tucker: The problem is, Malky knows that a bad run for Cardiff at the start of the season might see him out of a job at Cardiff while Moyes has been given the time by Everton.

Blakey: If Everton are struggling under a new manager, the fans will call for his head. Make no mistake about that.

Blakey: A solid back four is so hard to find and the best signing for me has been Matt Connolly.

Tucker: If there was a centre half out , Malky would turn to Connolly and he won the right back berth straight away.

Blakey: As a player I would say the most disappointing moment of the season was Nicky Maynard's injury. I think Cardiff might have broken records if he had stayed fit.

Tucker: When he went down at the Den nobody realised he was going to be out for so long. At that point, he was the first name on the teamsheet and it's to the manager's credit that he worked so hard to overcome that problem.

Blakey: The funniest moment of the season was the Hull fans running on the pitch. And then having to get back off.

Tucker: That last few minutes up at Hull was incredible. I still haven't got over it?

Blakey: I still can't get over watching Cardiff play in red against teams wearing blue.

Tucker: The best way to get attention in Asia is to win the Champions League. To be fair to Vincent Tan, at least he is having a go with the Malaysian TV deal and spending money on the team.

Blakey: But, without Vincent Tan none of this happens.
These players have come to Cardiff City because they can afford to pay their wages.
Before Vincent Tan came to Cardiff, players like this were not coming.
Even though, I disagree with what he's done, I admit none of this glory happens without him.

Tucker: I agree with Blakey that Vincent Tan is the man who wields all the power at Cardiff City

Blakey: Blackburn away was the best performance of the season. To go there and score four was excellent. Especially when everyone was questioning our away form.

Blakey: I don't think Etien is ready for Cardiff City at the moment. But if there is anything he doesn't know - teach him.
Can we mould him into the type of player we need or do we say, 'he can't do it, so forget him?'
He can obviously finish but the problems he had at the start of the season were still evident on Saturday at Hull.
If they develop him, Cardiff City are the winners. He doesn't need a loan. If you can't use your body effectively, the problem still exists.

Blakey's player of the year: Andrew Taylor

He was so important to the team but never got a mention. We always look at the entertaining players but what comes first is the foundation. Hudson, Turner and Marshall have had a lot of airplay but Connolly and Taylor have gone largeley unseen but they've never had bad games.
