United dont need a big name nor a big ego. What United need is a manager who will be loyal and have his feet on the ground (David Moyes).

I think over the last 3 years a side of Mourinho has come out that has taken him out of the running. During his 3 seasons at Real he has won 1 league title and no Champions League whilst spending over £180 million.

He has also been labelled a cheat for letting his players purposely pick up yellow cards, which he got fined for. That is not something United would stand for. Mourinho’s ego has also been called into question. The self-dubbed ‘special one’ has had a number of high-profile clashes with his players at Madrid. Club captain and longest serving player Iker Casillas hasn’t feature for the club since January with rumours of a rift surfacing - which Casillas admitted were true. This season has seen a number of Real Madrid players falling out with the manager and even Mourinho admitted he ‘isn’t loved’ at Madrid.

There is no doubt Mourinho is a winner and a good manager, but Moyes is the man and will be the man to take over.

Utd will want stability not someone who will come in for a few years. It's got to be Moyes IMO. I'm not a Utd fan but I'd love to see Mourinho come in & rattle all the Utd haters! Think of all the players he would attract with his & Man Utd's name.

I don't think they would but what he has achieved at Cardiff on and off the pitch is possibly what Everton would want. I do think you were right though, Malky needs to prove himself in the PL first.

But most PL clubs are started to go for young and hungry managers and that is what Malky is.
