Once again another club gets rid of Michael Chopra, the world was at his feet.
Ipswich Town have transfer listed Chops.
Is it to late for him to ever be the player he once was?

Thought this was going to be a Leon Jeanne thread then...
Its sad. I still think someone will be able to get him "right" and he will be good enough.

Sad. Loved Chopra especially in his 1st spell but the guy is an idiot who should be in premier league and living in comfort. Instead he is virtually bankrupt and playing in the 2nd tier.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas transfer listed too.

I agree but don't call the guy an idiot, he has a disease just like alcoholism show him some respect. If you have never suffered either (which I have) you have no idea how hard it is to break the cycle. I wish him luck and hope he can beat this demon.

Now he is shit. Can't believe Ipswich paid a £1m for him. So chuffed when we got him on loan but proved a huge disappointment.

Still in his prime, got at least three years left at this level if he wasn't such an idiot. He's got to chase the money, he's still in debt but does he have enough of a reputation to get a big money contract in the new footballing world (USA, Australia and the middle east). Doubt it.
However, one thing in his corner is that he is Indian. He better hope some of the Indian clubs start throwing the cash around because I can see a club paying him big bucks to play out there.

Was never good enough for the prem. Problems or not.

Do miss chops at Cardiff, but we got rid at the right time. Would like to see him sort his problems out and see out his career in style.

He will always hold a place in my heart for 'that goal'

Very sad i loved Chops with his time here but in his second spell he took the Piss. But Chuckles the only person that can help Chops is Chops himself. He dosen't have an illness but an addiction. He had the best help money could buy but fooked it up. A very wasted talent who was Prem class but threw it all away. Very sad

Always go down as being one of my all time favourite players. he could well have been a premier league player with us if he would have got himself sorted out off the field. I wish him all the best

I think the views Chops expressed on twitter tell you everything about his personal standards and how far they have dropped;
“Just coz I’m on the transfer list does not mean I hav 2 leave I hav 1 year left on my contract its down 2 the player if he wants 2 go or not.”Happy to stay and collect his £18k a week for the remainder of his contract.
In comparison JET said
“Time for a new adventure, had a great time but my time is up. #ThankYou.”Still hope for JET by Annis is right about Chopra, such a waste of talent.

Both with twelve months to go on their contracts have been told by Mick M to look for other clubs according to BBC sport news.

Was always going to happen to chopra, hes gone into overdrive ranting on twitter but has only himself to blame. The only shock was how long ipswich stood by him for
JETs just a lazy tw*t

Spot on mr'mogreenz - As for the Ipswich manager Mick McCarthy,he has done a good job at the club this season.
