The earlier game (Nov 87) at Somerton Park was my first away. 2-1 City after a going a goal down, Terry Boyle might have got the winner but there were 120 arrests and a supposedly 'hooligan-proof' fence was being ripped down by the time I got in the ground. The special got smashed up on the way home and a couple of well known brothers also from Llanishen got nicked. I'm sure one of them was only 13 at the time...
If anyone else was there...what happened down the other end of the ground during the game? Looked like there was a mob of 100+ who got on to the furthest home terrace on the left. It was on tv at the time and some shit daytime tv debate show. Have tried looking on youtube but no luck.
Glad they're back in the league though, would be great to play them in the cup again!
Cheers
Paul Ryan
PS FAO Lakey - my brother said he's seen you a few times this season. Hope all ok, if I get back this year will pop up to Mount and have a catch up... Please extend my warmest regards to the moral and virtuous patrons of the Boot. Didn't a body get found in there last year??!!!

McDermott's goal was straight from a corner If I remember correctly. We all got stopped by the old bill on Tudor street and marched back up to the station like we were the away fans.
