MESSAGE FROM STEVE BORLEY

A big thank you to the City of Cardiff and the Welsh Assembly for hosting and helping us deliver the event. Also big thank you for the Cardiff City Supporters Club and their Chairman Vincent Alm for the generous contribution towards the cost of staging the event.
Malky his staff and his players have delivered the Premier League dream with the brave support of Vincent Tan and you the supporters repaid that many times over with your tremendous support which was never more evident than yesterday. The turnout surpassed our expectations and were amazed that for the 2 mile journey the streets were lined with smiling and jubilant faces. Those memories will remain with us for life. Then when we got to the bay the scenes were incredible and just shows how far we have come as a football club.
I had the tremendous honour at short notice to make a speech in the assembly building and then again say a few words on the stage, neither of which were planned or prepared so both messages came from the heart. It was an emotional day and again thank people for turning out in numbers to cheer the lads on.
Finally Wayne Nash deserves massive recognition for the job he did in planning and delivering the event which went without a hitch.
