TEN THOUSAND AT CELEBRATIONS,YEH OK

Mon May 06, 2013 9:13 am

who ever came up with this figure wasn't standing where i was :hehe: :hehe:

Don't know how people guestimate the numbers, but with a regular crowd of twenty five thousand for games, how many weren't present yesterday, and of our fans that did come, how many brought the whole family with them.

What a day, what a season, if it pleases people to think there were ten thousand there or a hundred thousand is an irrelevance to anyone who witnessed it, massive, exciting exhilarating and something I will remember until I die.

We as Joe Public are quick to criticise the establishment whether it be the club or Council, but everyone involved deserves a big pat on the back, we are a Premier league team, and that was a Premier quality celebration. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

It's a badly written piece as it says "about 10k fans cheered the team at the end of the day", I think they are talking about how many were around the stage, not at the whole parade. I'm sure the Police or council will come out with the official figures in the next day or so

If you read the report on the BBC is talks about 10,000 AT THE END of the celebrations down the bay. Even that's a poor estimate but it's not talking about the whole day.

I haven't seen any decent pictures takes from around the edge of the bowl yet showing everyone. I was near the front so I couldn't see how many people were in there.

Was anyone around the outside by the fence? Got any pictures? :ayatollah:

Not like the BBC to lie about crowd figures, eh? Remember the miners' strike?

10,000 is probably the official capacity of that bowl down the bay.
