Sun May 05, 2013 10:21 pm

Reading winger Hal Robson-Kanu is a £2.5million target for newly promoted Cardiff.

Robson Kanu, 23, has enjoyed an impressive debut Premier League season with five goals, including strikes against Manchester United and Arsenal.

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay is set to offer the Welsh international an instant return to the Premier League following Reading's relegation.

I'd have him here. Not worth 2.5 mil though.

Yeah, could be a decent squad player but to be honest we have better already.

Kanu would never go to cardiff. Why would he jump from one relegated club to another club that will be also relegated next year?

Come on, lets not talk the rubbish they do. Kanu would go to Cardiff and probably wouldn't be a terrible signing either, he did ok for reading.

A young British player who, despite playing in a poor team (no disrespect to Reading, just going on the table) scores goals from midfield for £2.5m? Personally I think that's a steal. I'd have him all day long (starting XI).

Since we got promoted I've been trawling the boards of the teams in/around the relegation zone, and Kanu is thought of very highly in Reading - some are saying their best player. Apparently he improved hugely these past six months, and is continuing to do so. Over the last 10 games, I think he's their top scorer from, which playing from midfield isn't a bad feet at all.

Tall strong wingers tend to improve into their late 20s, unlike little pacey ones who often fade away.

Regardless of Reading's final position, Kanu seems like a very good player, and will likely continue to improve.
