Classy finisher, scored loads of goals from the bench this year, worth a cheeky bid??

No better than we already got!

One of my clients is a Reading ST reckons he is ok as a sub but offers nothing outside the box.

Sounds like a young Earnie.

If he was good enough he would have started more at reading. That's 2 reading managers who rather others to him in the starting 11

Gestede and Helguson? He's far better than them and a more natural finisher than Maynard and Campbell in my opinion.

I'm not sure why Mcdermott never started him but if you see MOTD every week then you can see the boy has talent.I wouldn't mind seeing him at the Liberty as a back up to our main striker.

good finisher, but too similar a player to campbell and maynard.. would like a different type of striker..

Re: Adam Le fondre

I'd prefer Maynard and Campbell.

If you can judge any player from MotD then you are wasted in your current job as you are the greatest scout ever! MotD show about 3mins of a game, so he will be involved on screen for about 15seconds, and you think you can tell how good he is?! Its hard enough to judge on a full 90min game shown on tv, as you can't see what positions they are taking up off screen!

Judging players on MotD is up with throwing in a name nobody has heard of from football manager!

You'd have to go some to attract a better Striker to the club than Fraizer Campbell. Given a decent run I'd back him to bang in 15 next year.

I might as well not bother commenting on any other footballer in the world then unless he plays for Swansea City because i only ever see them play on the TV.

He's scored 12 goals from the bench in his debut premie rleague season and he's not better than we've already got?

Helguson retiring, Rudy is shocking, Velikojna might not be ready...
He's very much a good idea for our team and has excellent talent.

Start with Maynard and Campbell and have ALF on the bench? But is he better than Mason or Gestede? I'd rather Mason..

ALF has scored 12 goals in his 1st season in the PL compared to Fraizer Campbell's 6 goals in 5 seasons.

Some food for thought 8-)

Injury hit season and a handful of sub appreances for spurs..

If he is so good he wouldnt be playing in a relegated team...

Not saying he is a bad player but he is only an impact player he hasnt done much when starting

A number of those goals at end of game when opposing team have bagged the points and are sitting back.

Meaningless goals.

He didnt go straight from league 1 to the PL at all. He signed for Reading 2 years ago.
And how the hell did it pay off? They been relegated.

Yes, Le Fondre was the man with all the responsibility to keep Reading up.
He scored goals in a great ratio for a relegation battling team. You cannot deny his quality.

Similar to Maynard and Campbell, but what are the odds on both of them being fit next season? In my opinion, we need another little guy and a big guy (Peter Crouch/Dirk Kuyt/Andy Carrol, though granted that last one will set us back a lot).

I'd take Le Fondre. Goals per £, I can't see us getting anyone better.

Why does everyone think they are a better manager than Atkins and McDermott? He is a bench player for both managers, doesn't that spell it out? He's not good enough

He wasn't good starting, no qualms with that. But he's better than Rudy who comes off the bench.

So why would we sign a player who isnt good enough to start. we need to improve the side not sign players that arent good enough already!
