Sugar ray leonard for me! He fought in a remarkable middleweight era which included hearns haglar and durran and beat them all in some legendary fights. Just a shame he continued untill he was way past his best and with an eye injury that plagued most of his career. But mayweather is definitely up there with the all time greats, technically brilliant

missed it, tried get up to watch it but getting up 4.30am for work Monday to Friday takes it toll and I slept through my alarm I already new the outcome anyway there is nobody currently I believe can touch Floyd not even a certain pacman

I've watched plenty of boxing, back from the days of Jack Dempsey pal. Nothing is better than Mayweather. He is the greatest of all time easily. You also cant compare era's, boxing is different now, different rules, round limits, etc. etc.

Floyds problem is that not many fighters have been able to be competitive enough with him.
The only time I have ever seen him ran close was against a fighter called Jose Luis Castillo,Floyd got the nod in what was a very tough fight.

The greatest fighter I've ever seen fight is Sugar Ray Leonard,Followed very closely by Floyd. I'm to young to have seen the likes of Ali or Ray Robinson in their primes.But I would put both on higher pedestals than May or Leonard in an all time greats list.

Leonards 3 fights with durran were in my opinion on the same standing as ali's 3 fights with Frazier. Fukme that durran was one tough mean b*stard "hands of stone" that was a truly golden era of boxing, hearns, hagler, durran and leonard 4 of the all time greats fighting in the same era in the same weight divisions and none of them ducked eachother. That's why my choice is sugar ray leonard as the greatest of all time. He fought them all and came out on top, he had absolutely everything, speed, power, great defence, but could also stand toe to toe and mix it

Its too difficult to judge who is the best. PB Floyd is certainly up there with the most technically gifted boxers ever. But has also been blessed with having the option of effectively picking who he wants to fight and when - thats boxing politics for you.
For me a loss in a career isn't a negative thing. IMO B-hop has done more in his career than Floyd did as did the Hearns, Haglers, Durans , Leonards and Robinsons. Hell even Pacman has.
If Floyd had fought over 100 fights live chavez or Duran he's bound to have lost one or two.

Greatness for me isn't just defined by heavily outscoring opponents in front of you picked by yourself where and when you want to have it. Despite how good the opponent may be.
