Started out as a striker but has rarely played that role for the past 2 years now, more of a winger nowadays

He is a striker. His secondary position is on the wing.

'Manager Martin O'Neill suggested that Agbonlahor, who had been playing out of position on the right wing for much of the season'

'he was moved back to his natural position at centre forward and again found his name on the scoresheet.'

He only played more predominantly as a winger under Houllier at which he came out and said he was unhappy and wanted to leave.

I hope this helps.

Villa play with one up front (Benteke) and then have Wieman and Agbonlahor playing more of a wide role just behind. If I could be bothered I'd could find some quotes on the net to back this up but I can't!

I would think he is on the list of possibles, I would not be surprised to see him play for us next season
