Correct Craig, it got signed of by all Directors incl Borley, Paul Guy,Allan Whitley,Tan also agreed it when he arrived etc etc

The £5mill has never been disputed by anyone and Tan has agreed to pay that.

WERE, NOT WHERE.

If we had paid him before getting promoted then we wouldn't have needed to pay him the extra £5m. It's our own fault. IMO Tan has no intention of paying him back and will leave it for the next owner to worry about

Why would we have avoided paying Sam/Langston an extra £5m on promotion if we had settled earlier?

It doesn't matter which Loan Note you refer to (2 or 3) the £5m promotion bonus was part of the deal.

Tony

I think the point that ffs is trying to make is that the £5m promotion bonus was only payable if the club got promoted by 31 December 2011 or , if promotion was later , if the £15m loan stock principal debt was still unpaid by the date of promotion.

So if the club had paid off the £15m (plus I assume the interest at 7% accrued to the date of payment) before this season`s promotion was assured , it would not have had to pay the extra £5m.
