Do you think Jordan Rhodes would be a good addition if we were to bid for him ?
Thu May 02, 2013 6:49 pm
I'm not sure, he's banging in the goals this season but its a tricky one. I'd say yes, I wanted him this season.
Thu May 02, 2013 6:51 pm
Depends how much. Wouldn't mind him if the price was write
Thu May 02, 2013 6:51 pm
If we can get him at a fair price than great. The thing is will he score double figures in the Premier League?
Thu May 02, 2013 6:54 pm
Yeah I do as it goes. I think he's a class striker and will be one of those still scoring when he's 38. People who say "he's untried at Premiership level"...... Yeah and so was Michu! They also said it about him when he went into the Championship but he's just scored 25 league goals this season.
I'd have him in a heartbeat

I think he would be a good addition to the squad, a real goalscorer, but I wouldn't pay anywhere near 8 million for him, which I suspect that's the least they would want for him.

Hard to say no as an addition.
Value for money? No
Similar to Maynard and Campbell as well.
I'd say look elsewhere
Thu May 02, 2013 6:59 pm
He's done it at every level he's been asked!! So it's a no brainier for me!
Defo would sign him! Ricky lambert done the same and look how we'll he's done!!
Still young so if he scores a few goals for us in the premier league! He's gotta be worth £30 million then just like michu

He is my preferred choice if we are taking a goalscorer from the Championship.
Best of the 'Big Four' of Murray, Rhodes, Woods & Austin.

Do you know something Carl ?
I believe we need a target man and may be the one , but for how much?
Didn't Blackburn pay 8 mil for him ?

Deffo the best out of those for sure, Austin second and the other two not near prem quality.

yes
Thu May 02, 2013 7:30 pm
Yes, he has scored goals at every level so far inc internationals. Think he'd do great with the service we can offer him!

I think he and Austin could both make the step up. Austin is more physical, but Rhodes a better finisher. Given that we might need to mix it up then Austin would be my choice, he'll be well rested having missed a lot of the 2nd half of the season.
Thu May 02, 2013 7:31 pm
Yes i think so, he got a natural goalscoring instinct
Thu May 02, 2013 7:33 pm
I told topcat he's on route two nights ago, he be creaming his pants reading this now
Thu May 02, 2013 7:36 pm
yes hes scored 28 goals this season with struggling Blackburn , no brainer
Thu May 02, 2013 7:42 pm
Sign him up Malky
Come on Carl!!! What do you know?
Thu May 02, 2013 7:50 pm
Wot r you lot smoking, why wud malky waste a third of the 25 mil warchest on jordan rhodes, when he could buy two decent foreigners for that price, you lot r clueless

Because he bangs them in mate!
Thu May 02, 2013 7:55 pm
Young Hungry and Scottish.
Why would Malky even contemplate a move for him?
Thu May 02, 2013 7:59 pm
Purely depends on the price, can't see Blackburn parting with him for anything less than what they paid. He's what we need though young hungry players who will want to use us as a stepping stone in the prem

Michu cost what an unproven player should cost though, rhodes is going to cost 10 mil probably.

Imo he always looked a bit wooden and not really a useful member of a system. No doubt he has good instincts in the box though.
Thu May 02, 2013 8:59 pm
Would be over the moon with it
Thu May 02, 2013 9:04 pm
36 goals in League One last season.
28 goals in the Championship this season.
He's bound to get a few in the Premier League. Would welcome the lad with open arms as he'd be a decent back-up should we drop down next season. It all depends on the price, mind you.
Thu May 02, 2013 9:34 pm
Jordan is the real deal.
Time to go Rudy fortune West.
Time for some class
Not a horses ass!!!!
Thu May 02, 2013 9:37 pm
i think most of his goal haul is through penalties? i think
