I used to like Carl's REGULAR updates and it was one of the reasons I came onto this site. Like most, I only ever took them as 'informative' and an idication of 'what might' happen; rather than taking them as Gospel and waiting in the wings to slate him when things didn't occur

I don't know Carl personally (so far as I am aware I have never met him, although apparently he sits not too far from me) but I do appreciate that he (a) loves this club in a positive way, and (b) has an uncanny knack of unearthing some very informative information at times

It is obvious that he (Carl) knows Sam and he has (to my knowledge) never hidden that fact. It is also obvious that Carl has 'time' for Sam and that is great too. That is his choice and if it means he can help (even in a small way) get Sam to even consider a quick resolution to the Langston issue, then that is ok by me

Unless, of course, you know or can do better

Sven, you are right I post info when I think it is appropriate to do so and in this case I got told yesterday that DJ had a letter that morning, I have come to expect people like Foster to come on here and try and ridicule what I have posted.

He obviously does not believe that I was asked by Alan Whiteley, then chief executive, to put forward offers to Sam Hammam who was acting on behalf of Langston.

That is his choice but I know I spent over a month of my time (free of charge) trying to help the club reach a settlement with Langston.

Thankfully that time is nearing, and no I was not involved in the recent negotiations (before someone tries to say I am claiming to have been), and I for one am, very pleased.

It is a shame that there are posters like David Foster who simply can't understand that any info or opinion is posted in good faith.

Carl is the biggest victim but there are others who may have heard something and want to share it or indeed just have an opinion on a matter. Of course that info or opinion could be totally wrong, but it’s up to the reader to make an educated judgement call without expecting every i to be dotted and every t to be crossed.

It's quite simple if you try, but of course to some it’s the height of intelligence to try and pull someone apart.

Nice one, Carl. You're already a legend (strewth, I'd best get another tissue out before Darran1927 sees this ) and I look forward to the announcement that the Sam issue is dealt with

Personally, I don't really want Sam as part of the modern Cardiff City FC because I have seen both sides of him (good and bad) and I disliked the latter far more than the former

However, I fully understand why those close to him consider him still to be a friend (he is apparently very loyal to those he trusts) and I firmly believe things might have been even worse than they were without certain individuals (including yourself) maintaining contact and talking sense about 'the club' itself

Keep up the positive work you do for the fans on this MB and just know that more are with you than against you

Sorry about the 'smileys' but I like the emphasis they give posts and I'm a pretty happy guy most of the time (despite how this MB makes me look on occasion

Although originally from Caridff, I actually lived a large portion of my teen youth in Ton-Teg, mate and a former product of Bryn Celynnog (picture on the foyer wall for international duties )
