Annis my first season was 89-90 and my favourite player that season was Ian Rodgerson, but Carl Dale has always been my favourite player, brings back memories. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: Stant was a legend to and one hard b*stard. :ayatollah:

Considering we were third/fourth division some of their finishing was of a much higher standard. We were extremely lucky to have them. One of my favourite nights was beating Swansea 4-1 in the welsh cup semi final 94. Only around 4,000 there but it could have been 15,000 there the noise we made

Two great players for sure, Annis :ayatollah:

As a Centre Half myself, I always liked Paul Went as a player and he always seemed to score our first goal every season with his low, hard shots :ayatollah:

But my overall favourites have to include Phil 'Joe' Dwyer and the unfortunate Jeff Hemmerman (who I believe would have gone on to be a legend for us) :ayatollah:

So many 'greats' to choose from though :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

How did that song go?

Was it "He's mean, he's lean, he fought the Argentines??"

Brilliant (although not as funny as Blake's "Fruit Machine" song and Super Kev's current "I'll let you...." song)

Not forgetting Mr Jeff Eckhardt, Mr Jeff Hemmerman, Mr Cohen Griffith, Mr Andy Legg just four of the legends amongst many who played with their heat on their sleeve when we were shit. In my eyes Anis just about everyone who played for Cardiff City in the last 30 or 40 years with the odd exception played for the shirt until we got to Jones' era, then it went a little bit astray.

Forget the red issue, us "lifers" could point to the new fans and jokingly sing "Where we you when we were shit, Where were you when we were shit".

It started "He's white, he's mean, he fought the argentine. ..." as it was opposite to Blakey being black.

Absolute class songs and two of the best strikers I've ever watched at the club

I watched Carl Dale score against us at Ninian Park for Yeovil in the cup. The grange end was rammed and they went mental when he scored, Strange feeling.
