Of Dave Jones' home.


Jones is claiming he is owed:

* £150,000 for reaching the FA Cup final in 2008;

* £100,000 for reaching the play-offs in April 2010;

* £250,000 for reaching the play-off final in May 2010;

* £100,000 for reaching the play-offs in May 2011

* £189,821 in a termination payment.

The claim deducts a £250,000 sum Jones received from the club for "outstanding bonuses" in 2011.

It means the total amount in the claim is £539,821.

But Cardiff City have acted swiftly and this morning Jones received a letter from the club who are putting a fight against the claims.

City have dismissed his claims and allege that Dave Jones breached his contract and that Sheffield Wednesday owe £750k for hiring Jones whilst he was under a rolling 12 month contract with the club.

Part of Jones' role as manager of Cardiff City was a working relationship with the media and the fact he would not give a press conference with Media Wales in attendance then maybe Jones was in breach of contract.

Remember him and the Riddler stitching Hasselbaink up and because of a written contract agreement CCFC had to pay JFH a years wages. This should be deducted from DJs settlement. Add in breaches of contract for allowing players out on the lash before the last home game of a crucial season and DJ owes us millions!

Lost all respect i had for this guy over the last few weeks. Oh well at least we limped over the line.

Surely bonus payments should be payable for bringing success to the club.

All of those bonus claims relate to finals or play-off games that we LOST!!

In what universe can they be said to be a success? When Dave Jones arrived Cardiff City were in the Championship. Six years later ( having been paid what must have been one of the highest salaries in the division thanks to his buddy Ridsdale) when dave Jones left Cardiff City we were still in the Championship.

Where's the success in that justifying such ridiculous claims?

Jones will say that he had a "verbal agreement" with Ridsdale. I had a "verbal agreement " with Ridsdale that if i paid for my season ticket early that the money would be used to buy players. Of course it was used to pay the taxman so perhaps we should all sue Ridsdale for breach of contract.

The club should join Ridsdale as a party on the basis of his gross incompetence during his period in office.

And Dave Jones, the sort of man who cheats on his wife who stood by him during terrible allegations, shows his true colours yet again.

Thank god he's gone from our club.

Our two best players this season were DJ signings. He made some bad signings but some excellent ones as well.

I don't see how he is owed anything tho as he left us for SW

I myself hate the guy, but if he is actually owed money then it's only fair he gets it, whether the fans think he deserves it or not.

I am very surprised that such a letter was sent to DJ's house and not between solicitors acting for both parties and even more surprised that it has been put in the public domain, FFS going back to the bad old days but then again silly season has started early.

doubtful that he'd take something to court with only a verbal agreement on the table, he couldn't be that stupid, could he?

No contract, No money more like. DJ must have had something in writing,,,,,,even if it was on the back of a fag packet!
