People Moaning about parade time

Wed May 01, 2013 5:42 pm

All I've heard and read today are people moaning about the parade being at 6pm !
Comments like we wanted to take our kids and wife's to see the parade but its too late and there not happy ?
Well where the f**k were you and your kids for matches over the last few years ? Why didn't you take them to games ?
Where was your support when we were struggling ? Pisses me off !
Let me guess the games were at stupid times being on a Saturday afternoon
It's unfortunate for a few who have to travel but there's entertainment on all day and the players will be there by half 6 its not that late and the council are putting on free buses to the bay !
Stop f*cking moaning and enjoy the day there's no school or work the next day so what does it matter if your kids are up an hour later than normal ? Pathetic

Does make you laugh when the same parents would let their kids stay up for bonfire night to see the fireworks unless they're complete whoppers and do their fireworks in the day when its light.

Sorry it just pissed me off people in the pub who i know have never been down to a single game moaning that the club are not thinking of them ?
The day is a celebration and thank you between players and supporters not a family creche . Yes it's good to have the numbers there and enjoy the day but don't moan when you've never even put a penny into the club !
The one women's kid even had a man utd shirt on

It's a Sunday, there is no school the next day and we cannot expect to take up thoroughfares, the Bay and Cardiff Castle any earlier in the day.

There are other people in this great city that also use those facilities. Lets not end up like international rugby fans and think everyone should stop what they are doing just for us.

I am unsure as what people expected.

Spot on mate

Well said mate.

I haven't moaned as much, but it has annoyed me a little as I can't take my daughter, shes only one and normally in bed by 8ish, but I would've loved to have her photos taken with the players etc.

Think i'll go down with a few of the boys instead.

I hope you enjoy yourself whoever you go down with :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

How do you know that they not ticket holders or people who pay on the day anyway ? Also remember were now going up and need as many there as possible. Call them plastic or what every, they could be the Fans of tomorrow, and without future fans we as a club don't have a future. Remember you want us to have good quality player ! the money has to come from some where. :ayatollah:

It is a stupid time for the squad to be introduced.
Why is it all so late on a Sunday? Makes no sense at all to me.

There'll be fireworks after and, erm, aren't they better in the dark skies?? :? :ayatollah:

It makes perfect sense TBF and whatever time they hold it will not be good for some. Roads quieter (fans apart) and hopefully a balmy evening atmosphere ;)

Really looking forward to it :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Your damn right I've moaned about it, it's the first time in 52 years this club as played at this level and any respectable parent will realise even 6pm is too late, bank holiday or not.

I've got a question for you numb nuts, do you think it's acceptable for a 14 month old to but out in the chilling spring weather until past 10pm??

You also bang on about wives and kids not being there week in week out at the CCS?? Well they'll that to 80000 fans who attend?? And before you judge my reasons for moaning I've paid my season ticket every year for 14 years... More than likely older than you.

All I'm saying is, the club should have made it early to give everyone a chance Og going regardless of age.

If your old enough, you'll remember spending the day with the players and staff in Barry Island, not a glimpse at 18:45....

I'm in work at 4am Monday :old:
That's not why I think it's stupid though, it's an ideal chance for kids to get involved, I hoped to take my niece and nephew but kids don't like hanging around for hours and late at night they get annoying

IMO this should be a family day, a day to bring friends, family, anyone proud of the capitals premiership club.

Just a silly time tbh.
The FA Cup one was excellent and at a normal time so no idea why this is so late.

The world has changed since the days of Barry Butlins, mate and (with all due respect) I'm not sure this will be the place or occasion for a 14-month old at any time of day, given that The Bay will be full of excited football fans with beer; and I am not sure your little 'un will remember much anyway ;)

Just an observation ;) :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Thats my whole point, it a family ocassion, I'd like to tell my son in 10, 20 years that we were there....... It's not just about getting smashed and having a good bank holiday piss up. He was born on the day of the carling cup Final, that's how I'm going remember it by, just would have liked a few snaps of him, with me at the parade that's all.

It's about creating future fans, showing the whole city that we are premier league, and everyone is invited.

The FA Cup parade down the bay in 2008 was brilliant, we all remember Steve Thompson and his guitar, and yes Barry island is in the past but that's how I remembered it and so did 10000s more, it made you want more.

Couldn't agree more.

Sunday will be about families, and the people of Cardiff celebrating the success.

They usually fly to Hull.

Even if they don't its not like it's the end of the world. I'm sure starting it at 3pm would have been more than ample

How do you know that those moaning about not being able to take their kids don't go to matches? What if they actually do go to every game?

Because they were from the pub I drink in and they don't go , never have and some actually cheered on Liverpool in the final now there moaning they can't make it ? f*cking tough
I feel sorry for fans like some on this thread that's not fair really but the players will be in town first at 5.45 that's not to late people can still go there and see the trophy and players ! And it starts early in the day down the by so they can still have the atmosphere

That's your choice, do you want a medal? ..... I wont be doing that though.

Just love how people judge others due to there opinion.
