Matt Phillips for 3 mil

Paper talk (daily mail) regarding us signing matty phillips for 3mil. I for one would be happy with this signin, as 1)he is 22 and not over the hill like some of the names we are being linked to 2)he is talented winger 3)he will not want a stupid wage like all of the qpr players

I personally think although he's a good Championship player overall, he blows too hot and cold. He also doesn't seem to have a plan B if he isn't able to knock the ball past his man and beat him for pace. I think we can get a lot better than him for 3 million. I would prefer us to sign Sako from Wolves.

Maybe, i dont know to much about him to be honest thought he was a gd player, but it is the right idea buying players for that price that will not want a big wage, because if god forbid we do go down, these players can stay with us in the championship

Has he been injured all season or did he just have a purple patch a seson or two ago. Definately appears to have gone backward since Holloway laughed at the possibility of us signing him. A good age but feel there maybe better out there for the price

I thought he was awesome last season. But by all accounts, he's been pretty average this season.

a fair point, but if they havnt played at prem level you wont know if they are good enough or not...

ricky lambert is and he came from brs rovers originally , grant holt came from non league etc... oxlade chamberlain from soton, ramsey from us... some championship players can make the step up.

Matt Phillips has had a year in the premier league with Blackpool and he was awesome. Not been as good this year but he would be a good buy if we got him for £3m or less.

The only wingers I would probably take from the Championship are Sako and Buckley, don't get me wrong I would love Tom Ince but I think that's being unrealistic with the sort of money Blackpool will be asking for him.

Depends if MM can get him going, he has strength, pace, and can score.
Hasn't done anything this season tho. Plenty it potential tho.

The point about the pitch is right, how is any player supposed to be on that pitch, and perhaps the only reason hes had a bad season because the rest of the team is shite except ince. I think he would be a good buy as he has plenty of potential being only 22 and malky will get the best from him, hes in our price range to.
