He's got a proper business mans head, so he will do what it takes to stay in the PL, within reason. He will not want to lose face or look a failure by city getting relegated.
However I do not think he will be as stupid and reckless with money as Ridsdale and SH have been.
With MM as manager he must feel confident his money will not be wasted (QPR style), and the team will be hard workers, who play for the manager and club (again unlike QPR).
MM will NOT be extravagant, and get in players who will not fit "the group".
