In the ealy 2000`s we got promoted & wru decided to go regional-& dictate neath merge with the JB`S to form the ospreys
.During the barren times i was always a city supporter of course-& followed results but did not actually pay my money and support them- but times changed.
nw been an ST in the family stand for last 4 years-along withy my son who now fanatical supporter.
My pointr is that we have a massive support base & success wikll bring on board many more sleeping supporters throughout swales-WE ARE NO LONGER A SLEEPING GIANT BUT A GIANT IN THE MAKING

The Burnley game you mention was the first of the season (over 22k) ....this was the season after we missed out on promotion. We were 2-0 up half time.
Don't listen to the half wits here. If you go by this lot they were all attending through the barren years ...we would have had 20k crowds then.
Ive seen many a face down the City who werent there during the lean times.
Great times now.

Thanks for the support mate.yep will always remember thar burnley game-though i seem to remember the crowd was around 13k though could be wrong and maybe 22k as you say-difficult to judge crowd numbers as a 10 year old!!.remember going to the leeds game fac 72 lost 2-0 ,they were top team then-52k standing bottom corner of the grange & couldnt see a f*@cking thing. As ive said didnt go in the barren years but success brings the fans back-like me . yes i`m a plastic conpared to the hardcore support of a few thousand i n the late 80`s ear;y 90`s but so are the other 80% of fans who attend now-at least i`m being honest.lving on the frontline with the jacks-have had some really bad experiences with them-i remembner me and my mate who had no allegiance to anyone being done by 14 jb`s in the lean years in neath carnival. 14-2 is a no brainer so i run as would most , i was lucky a gang of caewern eggs came to my rescue but my mate got floored and the jb`s gave him hospital resulting kicking--all because he "was with a city fan"
Good times now yes and can only increase our fan base
and I've missed a few seasons like yourself.
