THE PLAY OFF LOTTERY

Is it time for a change to the playoff lottery.should 3rd and 4th placed teams in championship be given credit for finishing in those positions by playing a one off game at home against 5th and 6th place.the same also to apply to other divisions.

Maybe it will change in the future who knows. I wont mind watching it this season as we aint in it for once i can have clean boxers after watching it i fancy forest to sneak in there and win it

The Play Off system is perfectly fine and fair now. No need to change it.

ive never thought the play off system is fair. its entertaining at the end of the season,
it makes the leagues more exciting. but its a long gruelling 46 game season and a team that achieves 3 better position and perhaps 15 more points deserves automatic promotion imo

I have to agree it makes no sence why such a gap of points can be the difference betweeen 3rd and 6th yet 6th can go up with 15points less than 3rd.

I think it would be fairer and more exciting if there was a straight play-off at Wembley between the 3rd place in the Championship and 18th place in the Premiership, and do similar in the lower divisions.

Yea I used to like the idea when the play offs had a prem team in it as well.

That's actually a good idea, but that could mean only two teams go up/down. I'd rather 3 teams definitely went up/down.

I think after 2 games if there's no winner at the final whistle the higher placed team should go through. Same in the final after extra time. No penalties, let the higher position mean something.

Sixth should play away to fifth.

Winner should play away to fourth.

Winner should play third in the Final.

For sixth to get promoted they would therefore have to win 3 extra games whereas the team finishing third would benefit from only having to win one game to get promoted.

althogth the team finishing third would have 2/3 weeks without a game, thus disadvantaging them a bit from the other teams.
