Lost ALL respect for Tan after that speech

Sun Apr 28, 2013 3:22 pm

Didn't even thank Malky and the players and back room staff for their hard work.

What a joke. The most important factor and all he can bang on about is the sodding rebrand and symbols and dragons being the protector of the bluebird. Not one word of respect or admiration for those who did all the hard work this season. All of it just taken for granted. Yes they get paid to do their job but a few sentences would have been decent yet nothing. The guy is an arse of the highest order.

Lets just hope Malky continuously feels appreciated by the fans this summer or he might sod off elsewhere before that dragon loving moron kills his career before it even takes off.

Here we go, the changing of the month brings about a change of opinion from top student, big head Barnett. Stop going against the grain to get a few bites. Blatantly obvious what you are doing.

James, in the sticky about the Speech you back me for my comments on mutual respect, and now you say this?

How many people are using this username because your opinion seems to change on a regular basis?

Its probably why before he hasnt done many interviews or spoke with many fans groups, whatever he says he wont please everyone.

I backed you on that yes, nothing in there to do with no consideration for Malky or whatever. Why didn't he thank them? all their hard work and not even a few sentences. I can appreciate the money hes put in to this club but he just makes things worse all the time. Its why we need someone else doing PR and doing the speeches.

Scarf gate was a joke and now this speech. There is mutual respect I agree but why is he not showing any towards Malky, the players or backroom staff? Have they not played an important role in what this club has done? :?

I respect the fans for making their voices heard in their quest to stay blue but there's got to be some compromise with the man who is financing us. I won't be part of any movement to drive him away, and I honestly feel heckling him and showing disrespect will do just that.

I agree with the sentiment that HE MEANS WELL but hes going wholesomely the wrong way about it. Yes hes admitted in some respect hes lost the battle and thats fair enough, its a battle he started so all this is his own doing.

As for the disrespect part Gav, yes there has to be compromise but why not appreciate the hard work done? Respect is mutual and yes I would not heckle him to his face or be rude to him in person as that would just make things worse but I would ask him why he never thanked Malky or the players that night and I would ask him why he decided to talk about symbols and dragons and shit for pretty much the majority of his speech rather than show appreciation for what others have done.

Just because I agreed with the sentiment of your post does not mean I wholesomely agree with every word uttered from his mouth in that speech.

This all black everything fella, is one of a handful of users/reasons I don't post on here much anymore, people out to cause controversy and derail the Ccfc fan base.

I can't be arsed banning anyone anymore because no sooner than they're banned they're re-registering under other names.

Not true
The very first thing he did was to congratulate Malky the players and his staff

Anyone who has an opinion than differentiates from the norm is 'out to cause controversy'. Look at all the shit Chuckles gets. Simple thing is I REFUSE to nail my colours to the mast and that confuses some simple minded beings. I am not pro Tan, I am bot against Tan, My respect for him fluctuates on the actions/words he says okay. Life is not black and white, its in between.

People just simply cant seem to comprehend that you can be supportive of a person in one thing and against them for another. I appreciated Tans investment, who didn't? I didn't appreciate scarf gate and trying to force the rebrand on the fans, I appreciate what hes done in backing the team and helping the team get promoted but last night to not thank the hard working people of the club was wholesomely disrespectful.

Just as people can agree with some things labour do and some things the tories do and so on, its no different. My opinion of Tan changes by what he does says. Only an idiot ties their colours to the mast or picks a team and its no different to saying you support Labour and everything they do or their policy is right. Its far more complex than that and yes I am fully entitled to change my opinion of Tan based on what he does and says.

If you want to jump firmly in the 'Tan camp' or the 'anti Tan camp' then fair enough, thats you, but I judge situations on as they occur and come to a conclusion based on that. Tan does good things, Tan does bad things juts like Sam. There is no difference. Just as I applauded Sam for some things I also criticised him on other things.

Last night though, what a joke couldn't even thank his manager, team and back room staff. I would not be surprised if Malky walks this summer before Tan sends his career down the drain.

its already been said that he thanked them, and you said on another thread that you're a wind up merchant, so stop thinking because people say you chat shit its because they cant handle your ever changing opinions, you're not that special mate.

We've heard him thank the team & fans a lot this week & apparently he did right at the start?

The symbols talk was far more worrying to me. Scared bluebirds and powerful dragons etc.. Someone needs to tell him that it isn't Pokemon.
