Apart from one decent ball he put into the box in the second half, he offered absolutely nothing and constantly gave the ball away. He has lost a yard of pace, can no longer go past players and worryingly, his end product has drastically deteriorated.
Bellamy single handedly won us games earlier in the season and there is no doubting that overall, he has made a huge contribution this season. However, Bellamy has been poor for the past couple of months now and although I will always love him for coming back to his home town club and helping us get to the Premiership, I'm not sure he will be good enough for us next season.
That might sound controversial, but if he wasn't Craig Bellamy and you judge his performaces just like any other player during the past couple of months, his performances haven't been good enough. I know he has still set up a lot of goals from his dead balls, but being just a good dead ball taker won't be good enough for us next season. Although perhaps with lesser games in the Premiership and more breaks between games, Bellamy will get back to his old form for us next season, especially with a full pre season under his belt?
