Craig Bellamy

Sun Apr 28, 2013 2:25 pm

He was absolutely awful yesterday. It's the worst I have ever seen him play. Apart from one decent ball he put into the box in the second half, he offered absolutely nothing and constantly gave the ball away. He has lost a yard of pace, can no longer go past players and worryingly, his end product has drastically deteriorated.

Bellamy single handedly won us games earlier in the season and there is no doubting that overall, he has made a huge contribution this season. However, Bellamy has been poor for the past couple of months now and although I will always love him for coming back to his home town club and helping us get to the Premiership, I'm not sure he will be good enough for us next season.

That might sound controversial, but if he wasn't Craig Bellamy and you judge his performaces just like any other player during the past couple of months, his performances haven't been good enough. I know he has still set up a lot of goals from his dead balls, but being just a good dead ball taker won't be good enough for us next season. Although perhaps with lesser games in the Premiership and more breaks between games, Bellamy will get back to his old form for us next season, especially with a full pre season under his belt?

I thought he looked tired. But as the cliche goes - form is temporary, class is permanent :ayatollah:

Yeah, like Whittingham he is probably burnt out. He was doing the running of 3 players earlier in the season, chasing defenders down from one side of the pitch to the other. I'm worried his quality is starting to go mind, hopefully he will be back to his best next season, especially as he will be playing with better new players in the team hopefully.

I said on another post he should be sitting next to Whitts in the dugout. Both have given their all the season and are gone.

I used to follow horse racing quite closely and champion racehorses go over the top and get beat late on in the season when they wouldn't have earlier on, same with our two legends. Feet up, a few beers, a little bit of sun and welcome back to malky's Swiss boot camp.

Hasn't been the same since he returned from the international matches in March in my opinion.

But earlier in the season he gave absolutely everything he had and after a summer break he will come back as strong as ever.

I have no doubt about that.

Yes he wasn't at his best yesterday but this guy gives 120% and plays his heart out as well as encouraging everyone else around him. FFS give it a rest and joy the moment, and he will do the same next season :x :x

Not every player can consistently perform for every game. Especially at that age. Just like Whittingham he will find his feet again.

Always gives 120% and plays his heart out, encouraging everyone else around him, what a Role model he is to our youngersters, oh shit he had a poor game yesterday, big deal, He will be there next year and hopefully the following years just wish we had a few more like him. What gets me with a lot of City fans is you are not allowed a bad game and then you suddenly become a shit player. We will lose a lot of games next season and the last thing we need is fans getting on the players backs, we need your support, it will be tough next season and the one player who will see us through is Craig bellamy :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky: :malky:
