GAME AGAINST BOLTON

Sun Apr 28, 2013 8:57 am

An interesting game to watch.

After the initial onslaught from us ending with Bolton scoring on their first attack I felt they showed their premier quality that has been missing all season. Being of a relaxed mind as we had already won the title I was really impressed how they moved the ball around in midfield and created their chances after they had taken the lead. I was fairly convinced that in the second half they would get that second goal and see the game out comfortable.

As we all know that did not happen and in the end they were struggling to hang on. The game changed in the second half with this premier quality team looking a bit shocked as we relentlessly attacked their goal. Even so they looked like they could score on the counter and when they eventually did managed to get into our half 5 minutes from the end nearly did get the winner. That snap shot from inside the area had curve and power behind it but always looked wide from behind the goal where I stood. I bet the Ninian fans hearts stopped for that while the Bolton fans cheered only to be followed by the groins.

What am saying is I just feel Bolton belong in the premier. They have like the other 2 relegated sides have taken the championship for granted. Dougy shit scared Freedman knows what it is about this league while the other 2 managers before him simple did'nt. Freedman in his short time at the club has sorted it out and if they fail to go up next season and he can hold on to his players should go on to win the league.

What impressed me with us is that although this was a premier team we were up against we did not look out of place. The premier sides live on the hope that the difference between them and the championship is massive. Hence why everyone things we will come down. Some people I believe are in for a shock.

Agree with that. Apart from the bit about Boltons previous 2 managers dont know what this league takes. Owen Coyle and Gary Megson both got promoted out of the championship as managers.
