Did anyone notice Bellamy taking the Championship trophy and handing it to Steve Mcphail?

I have to admit that I've never been Mcphail's greatest fan as a player but I was absolutely delighted with the reception he was given when he came over with the trophy. He's been a great servant to the club and by all accounts is an absolute gentleman.

Massive credit also to him for dealing with the health issues he's faced over the last few years.

I completely agree on all counts

I was fortunate enough (if that is the right word ) to be in the next bed to Steve as we recovered from operations a few years ago (before the cander issue) and he came across as a great, unassuming, down-to-earth guy and complete gentleman

His main concern (and we all remember how bad his injury was ) was how his wife would cope with a young family and with him under her feet

Too many people slated McPhail. A few season back we looked absolutely clueless without him on the park. Chopra wouldn't have scored the amount of goals he did either.
