It wasn't easy under Sam's stewardship (especially towards the end) but no-one can ever deny his involvement was a catalyst for changing CCFC into the club it is today.

Yes Black Friday was a shambles, the Langston Debt a millstone and the delay in delivering the stadium was frustrating, but none of that stopped us from reaching the Premier League and the ambition to do so stem from Sam's dream of getting us there.

I remember back to when he first came here in 2000 and he was quoted as saying that he could only take us so far and probably someone else would have to finish the job.

Thirteen years later his words have proven to be profound and I for one am willing to thank him for all he did in his 6 years in charge.

So cheers Sam you will always be a hero in my book. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I agree MM and the players are the hero's on the pitch this season and have delivered promotion.

However, CCFC has been evolving for the past 13 years and I see nothing wrong with tipping the hat to all those who have helped change our club in that time.

Your point about ONE WORD LANGSTON is lost on me sorry.
