Really why?

What's so special against playing in front of too wealthy men?

So that's why certain city fans have been bulling to keep the red, the rumours were true.

Brilliant to have two board members doing the scouting themselves. Such passion for football. Love it. God willing! :ayatollah:

Dont know about honour. None of those kids would even know who Sam is.
An honour for them would be if some of the first team watched them.
I'd like to show him honour. He almost killed our club.

If there is one thing we can thank SH for it has to be his determination to develop a top class academy at our club, this beyond all else should be considered his legacy from his initial involvement with the club. The £m's the club has received in transfer payments from players developed through the academy bear testiment to that. In my opinion if SH had remained involved with the club we would not have lost Ledley & Matthews for nothing.

The word honour has many meanings which go beyond giving someone a medal. In my opinion it is an honour for these two men to go and watch these kids playing, Why?, because it will demonstrate to these kids the "Value" the club places on the development of it's own players.

Again value, worth and merit are also other meanings of honour, a good choice of words Carl.

We don't all agree on the right's and wrong's of Sam's time here, and I for one think he made major mistakes and left us in a mess, but 2 things can't be argued over surely.

1. Sam was the first person to have any ambition for this club and to TRY to get us to where we are now.
2. Sam invested heavily in setting the Academy up and certainly sowed the seeds for what we have got there now. he always spoke about the importance of developing our own talent and took a healthy interest in our youth set-up.

Exactly, what has he ever done for the kids set up at our club and what does he know about developing youngsters and finding and developing talent, you name me thirty players who cam through the ranks at Wimbledon, what does he know about football. ;)

What a great conversation they will have today. The Kids at that age dont really care as long as they play football now if someone like Bellamy was there they would be more impressed than too short old men :old: watching them play, but the parents will love it.

I think when time permits more footballers should go to these games as the kids love players from their local teams.
