Could Sam buy out VT?

Fri Apr 26, 2013 11:42 pm

I have no idea of Sam's worth...but around 30% of the debt s owed to Sam, so would he have enough to take on the remainder of the debt, transfer it to equity and have enough to take the club forward?

Great...thanks!

Didn't know if this could be an exit strategy for VT, but I think he'll like the bright lights of the premiership!

Would be a little like like your local greengrocer store trying to buy out WalMart :o

It would probably take a little more than what tan has put in. I think Tan would accept £55m - £60m plus advertising for a year.

The club is currently costing Tan £20m a year to keep afloat. If he can duck out with a decent sized profit then he can walk away as a success. If Sam or a Sam fronted consortium can stump up that then a simple switch back to blue would get everyone behind him and we have Sam the hero guiding us in the premier league which is what he's wanted from day 1.

It makes sense and everyone is happy. Tan gets his cash, Sam gets his prem club and the fans get blue.

I wish they did. The prices in ASDA in Pontprennau are absolutely shocking. Could do with a massive Happy Shopper or a Londis.

You knows it makes sense. :old:

And you forgot to add relegation and Sam pocketing the parachute payments, the difference between the two is VT plans lie in generating a brand to merchandise Sam's plan is all about Sam

£55-£60m would mean a loss to Tan of £10-£15m on his loans so far. He also won't need to put any money in next year so I'm thinking £90-£100m is the crazy offer he'd be looking for.

Only you Jerks are getting wound up about it. We're living the dream.
Whilst your season pales away into insignificance we're planning for one hell of a party with all 27000 invites sent out and accepted.

im sure all club owners keep their manager in the loop about what their business plans are, it seems very naïve for malky to come out with that.
Its more likely that malky is just doing a bit more brown nosing and praying that the VT/SAM H conglomerate aren't planning to replace him with a proven Premier League Manager, after all the weak link in the chain is MM at the moment ;)

If I was you I'd be worrying about your own managerial problems which are bound to be just around the corner. If the Everton job does become avaiable (or any Premier job for that matter) then Michael Laudrup is bound to be on the short list.

One way or another ML be gone and Huw's luck in finding replacements can't go on forever. By the law of averages your next manager is bound to be a duff and that will start your traditional fall back down the leagues after being in the top flight. Mark my words you'll be 'swimming' away down the leagues very soon.

So if Sam spent £70m paying off Tan and converted his debt to equity then for the equivalent of £94m he could own a debt free club worth about £40m-£50m max. Doesn't seem like a bargain really.

This is so laughable I can't believe I am commenting
VT = public listed company and declared wealth
Scam = never disclosed his wealth if any, never disclosed how he made his money if he ever made any, destroyed Wimbleon

Come on wake up and smell the coffee

No wonder Swansea come on here and have a laugh with this sort of crap

Yawn  come up with something original you really are like a stuck record, I know it really hurts you to see that we are successful club and have no problem in recruiting suitable managers, its your club who blunders along hoping for rescue by the next 'sugar daddy' to fleece you while you bend over in gratitude..
