Swansea City don't work hard enough...

Wed Apr 24, 2013 8:48 pm

And they will get caught out next season. Their way of playing will not serve them in a game that is quickly changing to a high tempo high fitness game. It has worked so far but they are woefully prepared to be able to adapt to the new football that is beginning lead by German clubs and the Premier League will change too. Swansea won't be allowed to tap the ball around for the first twenty minutes of a game next season.

Lets just wait and see, football is constantly changing as has shown by Barca no longer being the kings of football. Right now they are better suited than us so lets not worry bout them just yet

you obviously haven't seen much of the swans play style then.. the speed in which the Swans pass the ball around makes your team look like they are running in slow motion and that's the truth... ;)

Said it on here a few times, the way malky has us playing will pay off next year its not pretty but it was what we needed to get out of a league that plays differently to the PL. I Honestly think a few shrewd pacey players and a decent striker and we will do ok next year. Malky is doing something great here. Just you watch.

Every year.

Some of you lot think we're just being bitter predicting you to go down this season, but you've got people like this who are still predicting us to go down.

See when people get a prediction wrong, they tend to either hold their hands up and admit they predicted incorrectly or just call blame it on fortune. It seems we've had a few very fortunate seasons in recent times then.

pointless post, they've stayed up TWICE using their method, it works! i'd rather it to our hoofball and nitty gritty (but then again that works better in the championship) just hoping we play better football in the prem, work your magic malky :ayatollah:

anyway, let them worry about themselves, and we'll worry about ourselves! we'll worry about each other when we play each other!

Lol well spoken GowerJack...Even Craig Bellamy had good things to say about us to just over a month ago he said this> Swansea City have educated every one of us in how the game should be played" Here is the source> http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/foot ... es-2513263

So Craig Bellamy and Swansea fan Vincent Tan had good things to say about Swansea but funny enough Mr Mackay stated on sky sports that Swansea have not been inspiring to him in particular. Aw well i think someone is in denial

This is laughable. Borussia and Bayern do well in 2 games and people think the whole ethos and tactical approach of the game is changing. Its not at all. The difference is Bayern and Borussia are now seeing the results of a system of a dedicated youth system, hard work and clever spending and selling. Tonight was not surprising in the slightest for me. The only surprise over the last 2 nights was UEFA's referee's reluctance to favour the Spanish sides in every decision they made.

I can't believe you stayed up the first year, but I was wrong Brenda had just enough and it to the premier league a bit of time to work out the best tactics to top you, press higher up the pitch......

The change to Laudrup was a definate improvement, and it seems a better all round style and less tippy tappy bollox. Brenda leaving turned out to be the best thing possible for you, but you have started to be found out again and everyone knows if they stop Michu they stop Swamsea, so it will be interesting to see if you can change things around again and freshen it up???

Six games without a win isn't it, amd you lost most of them didn't you???

I think it's a bit more than just hard work. Stoke "work hard" yet they couldn't get anywhere near us. It must also be remembered that Bayern/Dortmund can also play a bit.

I think you've got us mixed up with last year as there is less tippy tappy play.

Personally it's going to be interesting on both fronts, how we cope with EL football and how you strengthen in the summer. The standard is pony in the PL IMO and you have a good manager and a partisan crowd, so who knows

5 actually and you have only had 1 win in the last six games against much weaker opposition so looks like your form isn't that impressive either

It's 5 games without a win. WBA away (L), Arsenal home (L), Spurs home (L), Norwich away (D), Southampton home (D)

Performance wise we really should have got 8 points out of the five games, so I'm not worried in the slightest.

The fact you genuinely think we've been found out based on six games, neglecting the previous five years to that in which teams knew our style of play is hard to believe.

5 years????

You got up through a playoff win, which could have gone either way, we finished on the same points.....

First year in the Premier was a real surprise , Brenda did a good job amd you hot a lot of points early on, but then teams did strt to stop you from memory, I haven't got the stats though????

As I said I think Brenda leaving and a change in style was a massive blessing in disguise for you, but again I think teams have learned to stop Michu, so unless Laudrup has got a plan B, you may struggle next year especially with Thursday European Games then league games agains well rested players on a Sunday.....

Time will tell .......

We started playing this way in 2007/08, you'd have thought people would have 'found us out' by now. No one is particularly surprised to see us start the game by passing the ball, they all prepare for it and it doesn't always work.

It doesn't matter how you go up, we've got up and done well whilst QPR won the league and look at them. Same with West Ham and Reading.

We picked up more points in the second half of the season than the first in 2011/12, so no wonder you don't have the stats for it.

Michu's scored 5 in his last 8, he is a brilliant player but not our only player and you need to watch a bit more of us if you think he's all we have.

We've got a strong squad, and will have a much stronger one next season to prepare for Europe and we'll have a much stronger squad next season.

You on the other hand, have to do a lot of work if you're going to get 17th.

All Swansea fans are deluded, they only see what they want, you have bought well and done really well with selling managers and your best players, but it won't always be like that, maybe this is the year you make some expensive mistakes, and when you do you will have nothing to fall back on, no big crowd income and no wealthy owner.

You can laugh at QPR if you like but they will be ok because they have an owner with money, what happens when it goes wrong for you ????

West Ham are a miles bigger club than you and after this season will pass you again, enjoy the good times while you can, they won't last for ever.

Don't worry about your big brothers, the Capital, Wales Premier Team, we will be fine, Tan will eventually send our revenue streams through the roof :ayatollah:
