Derby Troubles???

Wed Apr 24, 2013 7:19 pm

First thing - well done on promotion!!!

The BPL is a tough league as we all know and watch with many scalps to be taken so its going to be rough ride at times (for both of us).

However my point is on posting, we all experienced Derby days from old and few seasons back, but this day and age with stadiums filling up even more with people wanting to watch the football. Gone are the days of tuesday night kick offs in the rain and only a few thousand stood in the stands and football being a "blokes" day out. Yes those extra seats are being taken up by young kids and families. My question is, with the amount of policing etc, the last thing we want is for the Crews/Armys to wreck potential great match days, and cover the press with the likes of Millwall and Newcastle incidents from the past few weeks
And Tarnish the "welsh" as nothing but football hooligans, - Leave that to the lower leagues in my opinion

I thought the media had that impression of us anyway didn't they? Why would they want to do their job and actually report no trouble when they can make it up and sell it off. I couldn't give two hoots what is reported, any person with any brain cell can see the lengths the media would go to sell a story. On a serious note, both sides have their idiots and I wouldn't be suprized if there was trouble when we beat you down the liberty ;)

Since 2008 we've played 7 derbys I think and your fans caused more trouble outside your stadium then city fans did outside the ccs. I also witnessed jacks scrapping each other after Bellamys winner 2 years ago. Just remind your fellow jacks to behave yeah, don't worry about us.

without a doubt there will be trouble weather its you beating us down our end or us stopping the double and turning you over at your place, what i am worried about is the brush wales would get tarnished with because of so called "mobs".
IMO the Welsh media would quiet quickly try to brush any sort of trouble under the carpet to try and keep the teams squeaky clean and in the press for possitive reasons, its the rest of the so called press from across the bridge who like to hang on and drag up things all the time

Murhpy - yes i agree with you, we have our fair share of clowns that ruin it, but things are slowly decreasing with the spotlight of the BPL, granted lower league games and derby days were heavily policed but its was not in the lime light of the press and TV as much, we talking world wide now. The post was not ment to be a dig at anyones set of fans,

Don't know why it bothers you so much what others think? Everyone knows the press will exaggerate any story to make money. You only have to look at the rubbish they spouted about Liverpool 'hooligans' at hillsborough to see the lengths they'd go to. Let it go over your head, we have.

The Police have it all under wraps these days.

The 'talk' of possible trouble, no matter what your opinion, does give it an interesting
edge, as do all Derbies.

Sky would love it if it all kicked off against Swansea, although we all know it won't happen ;)
