Eagles Angry With Cardiff Rumours

Wed Apr 24, 2013 5:19 pm

Chris Eagles has hit back at speculation linking him with a summer move to Premier League new-boys Cardiff City.

Reports in recent weeks have suggested the 27-year-old is unsettled at the Reebok Stadium and could complete a cut-price move to the Bluebirds at the end of the season.

The former Manchester United and Burnley midfielder has rejected those reports, however, insisting he 'loves' playing for Bolton and hopes to prove it when Wanderers travel to the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday.

"People like to write these stories but it's just a shame when they see you face to face and they say nothing, but behind your back they like to talk about you," Eagles told The Bolton News. That's part and parcel of the job I'm in. I like to get my job done on the pitch and then go home. I think I'm quite a private person - I don't really mix in that.

"People that know me in the club and fans that know me know that I'm 100 per cent for the cause and I love it here. It's upsetting, to be honest, because these people don't know you but they have an opinion of you - but then I've had that all my life since I went to United when I was 14. People had this opinion of me. Maybe it's a good thing? Maybe I should be a mystery? I am happy here. I had a few problems a few months ago with family, but everyone knows that now. Right now I'm happy, I'm a Bolton player and I love it here.

"The fans are right behind me and the Middlesbrough game was a big one for me because I got into double figures, which I have had my eye on for a while now, so I can't make it any clearer. I don't know why anyone would write that I'm unhappy.
They (the fans) have been brilliant and I can't thank them enough on a personal front. There have been a lot of rumours that went round about me wanting to leave but none of them were true. Hopefully the way I'm playing will prove to them that I'm not going anywhere."

This guy is delusional, his quote "“Cardiff are champions, but it would be nice to prove something to them. We were the better team when we played them at home and won 2-1".

Over the ninety minutes the score looks that way but in my opinion that no way reflected the game. We were pretty much strolling the game at 1-0 and I thought no way are we going to lose this as Bolton we not that good. Then they made a double substitution who both scored and Ngog scored and offside goal, no way we they better team. Maybe better for a ten minute period when they scored the 2 goals but that was it
No way Malky we do not want delusional players

Of course he also forgot to mention we were the better team over a 46 game season and not just 90 minutes.

BTW before opening this thread I wondered by Crystal Palace were angry with us

Id rather Malky sign a lump of shit fresh out of the toilet than Eagles. Hes a little fairy boy gimp that just plays with his hair all game like Bentley. Has the potential to be a good Premier League player but never will because he is too much of a pansy. Hes exactly the type of player we dont need if we want to survive. Malky should stick to this work hard ethos and im sure he will.

Eagles can go and join Palace the bunch of bottlers. He'll fit in well there as they love their visuals and aesthetics too which is why they'd rather cheerleaders than getting the job done. I hope Brighton smash them to bits in the playoffs.
