Silly Season Has Started!!!

Ever since we got promoted last Tuesday we've been linked with many, many players. I'll name just a few:

Darren Bent
Jamie Mackie
Bobby Zamora
Gary O'Neil
Adam Le Fondre
Aaron Ramsey

Out of these players I would have Mackie, Le Fondre and Ramsey.

Mackie is the type of player Malky loves. Wears his heart on his sleeve, doesn't have a big ego, never stops running and always puts in 100%. I saw him many times for Argyle and the amount of work he puts in is unreal. Would be a great addition to the side.

I would take Le Fondre as this season he has proved he can score in the big leagues. If he had started for Reading he may have hit the 20 goals mark. He again would be a very good addition to our squad.

Now I think every City fan would take Rambo back without a shadow of doubt. He isn't loved by Arsenal fans whatsoever and Wenger has played him out of position for most of the season. Only in the last 3 weeks has Wenger played him in his correct position. Would love it if Malky managed to persuade him to come back.

Tan has said hes not splashing the cash, so unlikely he would be happy to pay Ramseys wages

Rambo will be too expensive.
Combination of him, Kimbo, Whitts and Williams (get from palarse???) would mean we would always have a central midfield of skilful players available. I know they could not all play at the same time.

Love how you call the thread "silly season" to suggest ludicrous suggestions of players that would actually join the club.

Ramsey is quality and will go to a more established premier league side if he did leave Arsenal.
Cant see him leaving though.

As for the rest of them, if we were still a Championship club, id say go get them.
But we are no longer a championship club and purchasing players from relegated sides that cant hold down permanent places in a relegated side doesn't sit well with me personally

So you would want to take the strikers from the two worst teams in the Premier League, neither of which is first choice????

Do you really think they will be good enough to score the important goals we will need???

I would take Rambo definately, but we have no chance....

It is nice to have half decent players being mooted for a change.

It is also nice not to be threatened with tax bills and winding up orders as was a regular occurrence not long ago.
