O/T - Voting yes to the Welsh Assembly

Can anyone remember the argument this messageboard provided when fans on here were split by voting yes or no to the Welsh Assembly. They promised never to bring tax raising powers to Wales if the voters voted yes

Myself and many other people stated a no vote as we knew that when they had the power for the assembly they would be soon asking London for tax raising powers and other powers.

Other fans disagreed and stated that it was just a yes vote for a Welsh Assembly and that the Assembly if approved wouldn't bring tax raising powers to wales if you voted yes.

Im sure I recently read that the Welsh Assembly have asked recently for tax raising powers to be devolved to Wales. How can such voters be so blind to this fact.
