the famous cardiff city made their way down wembley way
We went to play the Arsenal; they'd come to win the cup,
Along came Cardiff city and shook(

Back in '27,we went to Wembley
To play a vital game against Arsenal FC
They said we did't have a chance, they said we had no luck,
But it was that Cardiff City team that came back with the FA Cup
(no I wasn't there)
