Less than 50% of Cardiff Citys support is from the City of Cardiff please.

Or at least get him to mention "and the surrounding areas".

Whilst I have been critical of his playing style at times I have alwats given him credit as a person and hes excellent in front of the camera.

But he keeps saying "We done it fir the people of the City" but they dint even make up half the support.

Without Barry, The Valleys, Neath.etc.etc "The City" would have folded years ago.

Funny how people read something different into such a small statement.

Every time I've heard him say "for the people of THE CITY" I always think he means the club and the fans, not the place and the residents.

Actually agree with you for once there. He did say a few times on Saturday 'the people of Cardiff' etc etc. The club should tell him to mention the fans from across South Wales in my opinion.

agree bluebird 87 the club speaks for the whole of south wales not just the city dwellers like myself

great support for our club throughout the region from neath/ port talbot in the west , merthyr /aberdare to the north and to the seven bridge areas in the east

Yes I just watched his interview in the studio again, which was a superb interview, but definitely says it in terms of residents.

Yep true but now its the people of cardiff because they all want a piece now although it does make you wonder where these people was 15 years ago when i hardly knew anyone from cardiff watching cardiff bar a few. Obviously there was people there but tbh i think he ment the fan base in general

Thought exactly the same when i seen his interview on CC player earlier mate, so much of CCFC support comes from elsewere

Im getting sick to death of him not mentioning hertfordshire too, I have given so much this year, all I want is a bit of recognition.

Born and bred Cardiff but agree with the OP. Malky says he "gets" the people, fans and area. If this is true he needs to start bigging up the support from the surrounding areas in particular the valleys and Merthyr which have provided Cardiff with some of its most loyal and passionate support and have always been the lifeblood of the club IMO. Fair play to rhodri Morgan - he made this point after the Charlton game.

The Club is Called CARDIFF CITY not CARDIFF CITY AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

You have to realise the team you support is Cardiff city. When you support them and travel with them, then you represent them.
It is the same for the club. They represent all fans across South Wales.

its not malkys fault we got fans from all over, would you expect alex ferguson to mention everywhere man u fans come from whenever he mentions them? same with liverpool and the other clubs with loads of support?

serious question though, why do we have so much support from places like merthyr and places like that? do they not have a team?
