My old man and I think that Leon Barnett is worthy of his own thread.
He's done fantastic since he's come in and has played exceptionally well in tough games where we have really needed to grind out a point or a win. Even in the Peterbourgh game i think he was or Man of The Match.
This guy deserves a lot of credit as we were serious struggling for CB's and defensive cover.
I would be more than happy to see him become a perminant member of our squad for next season.
WE"RE GOING UP AS CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!

Barnett wants to stay and he should be our first signing. Last time I saw a defender make an instant impact was Keinon when we were tragically weak. Leon has just slotted in and plays like a heavyweight who has been with us for years. Make It So, Sir Malcdom du Mackay, Laird Of Caerdydd. Where's me blue white and yellow kilt?

Yes looks a great player

Think Norwich might want him back as the Norwich center back and captain Chris Martin is a target of his former manager at Villa

I totally agree with you, Leon was amazing for us, and lets face it ,he had to slot in fast and he did, He was like a rock at the back for us,and now he is starting to pop a few at goals also. Good solid player.

100% agree. I only wish i had a quid for every time he's won a header since he arrived! Where's the stat master to tell us how many??
Sat Apr 20, 2013 9:17 pm
How much did Norwich pay for him?
Is he the one who turned down Swansea?
Sat Apr 20, 2013 9:19 pm
The guy is very commanding and I really think he would make a great partnership with Hudson!! As the other posters said he wins nearly every header, quite pacey and passes well!!

Agreed. Malky, sign him up!

Barnett came to the club at an important part of the season.
Has been outstanding in his performances to date.
Needs to be signed as a Cardiff City Player for next season

I am not sure who it was but on deadline day Norwich offered Leon Barnett and cash for Curtis Davis but Barnett come out on Sky Sports and denied and said he never heard any of it, might be wrong.

HE was NOT very good against Burnley

His impact is even more amazing when you think who he replaced.
The centre back pairing is the most important in the team. You have a pair that know each other, work well together and give you clean sheets and that is the start of a winning team.
Hudson & Turner had that and were taking us up. Hudson was touted as player of the year and them he got injured. I must admit, I feared the worse, Nugent had potential but the pressure may have been too much for a season run in.
Up pops Barnett and slots in as if he was always there. Respect to Turner as well as they both adapted to each others game immediately. Only 3 goals conceded in 8 games, 5 clean sheets, including those against Watford and Forest, games that won us this league.
