Does this spell the end for Kev?
Malky says he will put setinment aside. Personally I can see a few players leaving, unfortunaltey including Kev as I believe he desrves a crack at the Prem. I think he's good enough to be a sqad player.

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay ready for 'ruthless' rebuild.
Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has said he will put sentiment aside as he plans for life in the Premier League.
Tuesday's draw with Charlton ended the Bluebirds' 51-year top-flight absence, with owner Vincent Tan saying Mackay will have up to £25m to spend.
"I've had to be ruthless from the very first day I came here," said Mackay.
"What we are doing is for the good of the football club. You have to realise life changes and situations change and you have to go with change."
The former Watford boss added: "If you don't then you're left behind. But that's not just me, that's throughout football.

Mackay reveals Sir Alex texts
"In end-of-season games, everybody's playing for something, whether you're in contract or going out of contract.
"You're trying to impress every time you walk over the white line so the players know they've got to be playing well to be part of something here next year, which is very exciting."
Cardiff will win the Championship title on Friday night if Hull lose to relegated Bristol City, otherwise they can clinch it by beating Burnley on Saturday.
' Nicky Maynard '
Mackay has targeted a return for injured striker Nicky Maynard on the final day of the season against Hull on 5 May.
The former Bristol City player joined Cardiff from West Ham United on a three-year-deal in August.
But the 26-year-old has been out since October after suffering a torn anterior cruciate knee ligament during the win at Millwall.
"The light is there at the end of the tunnel for him," said Mackay.
"He's back in training, which is great and he will hopefully get an under-21 game next week.
"If by Hull, which is two weeks away, Richard Collins in our physio department feels that he's ticked every box in our fitness department and I'm looking at him in training, that's absolutely a possibility."

Sorry mate I disagree, I love Kev and he's been here a long time, but he would be turned inside out in the prem. If we'd gone up 3 years ago maybe. unfortunately there can be no room for sentiment if we want to stay up.

Agree fully and I'm a huge Kev fan, hope to see him stay in team til end of season!
One thing I would love to see mind that is about sentiment............Steve Mcphail coming off the bench for a run out next week v Bolton, assuming of course the title has been won. Can think of no better way for the Bluebirds fans to show their appreciation for his commitment to the club in view of his health issues. Think how much it would mean for him to play a part on the day we lift the trophy in front of a full house

Kev offers more to the side than Smith, Helgusson or even dare I say Whitts at the moment.

I'll be gutted for Kev if he isn't offered a new contract
He has been a great servant to our club, he deserves a chance at PL football next season!!

think kev have already singed a new contract earlier in the season

Granted Kev isn't going to get a starting place next year but as a squad player I feel he offers depth and adaptablity. Can play left & right back and CB as well if required.

Kev has been quite good since he came back in, during a crucial run in the season. A squad player maybe I think.

At least 10 players will leave. There is no sentiment in football.

I hope he is offered 12 months.
The guy is a CCFC legend and deserves at least a year in the Premier League.
