Supporters team of the year

Hi guys,

I've been asked by a magazine to do a Cardiff City best xi (team of year), player of the season, young player of the year, goal of the season, player to look out for next season, positions we need to strengthen and possible transfers coming in etc. that sort of thing. I've only managed to make 7 games this season and it kills me that unlike other years, my opinion on all of this might not be the same as every one elses!! plus there are a few debatable decisions to make: is Turner included? We've also got a few players I haven't actually seen play yet (other than on cardiff city player) who arrived in January.

So give us a helping hand would ya?

Best XI: Marshall, McNaughton, Turner, Hudson, Taylor, Mutch, Gunnarson, Kim, Whittingham, Bellamy, Campbell (it's really hard to pick a midfield as we've got so many good players! - Noone, Maynard etc etc)

Player of the season: Hudson

Young Player of the year: Nugent (more of a breakthrough of the season) or Mutch?

Player to look out for in the Prem: Kim and Whittingham (has the technique to meet the requirements)

Goal of the season - wow... ?

Positions needed to strengthen - again... for the first time ever being a city fan, I find this a hard question to answer!

Signing of the season: Campbell or Barnett (loan)

Goal of the season Bellamy free kick v Leeds, signing of the season I'd go for Kimbo, performance of season (player) Marshall away at Leicester, team performance of the season away v Blackburn 1-4

performance of season- cant remember them all but Kim Bo vs Blackpool away stands out!

performance of season (team)- i'd say Blackburn away when we won 4-1

positions to strengthen- Right Back is the one that stands out for me, and a natural right wing

goal of season- tommy smith v Blackpool (with aid of the deflection)

young player- Ben Nugent, stepped in well where needed!

player of the season- Hudson for me, followed by Marshall and Taylor

Performance of season - Whittingham banging in a hat-trick at home to Wolves

Performance of season (team) - Blackburn away stands out but I will go for Blackpool at home, we destroyed them!

Positions to strengthen - Right back is my main concern, plus a good mobile target man in the Kenwyne Jones mould.

Goal of season - Whittingham's second at home to Wolves when Maynard had the ball down the right, played it inside, Mutch (I think) dummied by stepping over it and Whittingham fired low into the bottom right corner from the edge of the box, brilliant team goal!

Young player- Ben Nugent, he has all the attributes to be a Premiership class centre back. Was very impressed with him away to Blackpool in particular.

Player of the season - Andrew Taylor. Marshall and Hudson have been unbelievable, but with Taylor being ever present and bailing us out numerous times with his superb overlapping and crossing abilities to pinch us points, I will go for Taylor. I think he gave the ball away only twice yesterday. His distribution is so good!

Player of the season: Marshall, closely followed by Hudson and Taylor

Young Player of the year: Nugent, our squad this year hasn't really been full of youth, unless you count Gunnarsson and young? Mutch hasn't been fit often enough

Player to look out for in the Prem: Kim, Whittingham, Mutch and Gunnarsson

Goal of the season - Peter Whittingham free kick vs Wolves. Only one place he could have put that, and he put it there

Positions needed to strengthen - Wings. I don't think Noone, Smith and Conway will cut in next year, they'll be squad players

Signing of the season: Kim Bo Kyung

Performance of the season (player) - Peter Whittingham - Wolves home. (Or Kim Bo vs Forest home, can't decide)

Performance of the season (team) - Blackburn away 1-4

Full back with Taylor....Connolly has played in more than 1 position in the back 4 and has scored goals.

Have to put Connolly in, instead of Kev!

Strengthen the Wings and a big mobile target man upfront

Player of the season: Marshall (plenty of saves you could mention in this column)

Young Player of the year: Nugent definitely. Slotted in well when called upon

Player to look out for in the Prem: Kim and Gunnarsson will be the definite ones to watch.

Goal of the season - For me it has to be Whittingham vs Wolves (Maynard step over and low driven shot by Whittingham)

Positions needed to strengthen - RB, RW, ST.

Positions needed to strengthen - not sure back up keeper with PL experience and a left back with PL experience

Signing of the season: Campbell (on how little we spent on him)

Performance of the season (player) - Kimbo vs Blackpool

Performance of the season (team) - vs Blackburn away 4-1

Goal of the season- Bellamy free kick at the Canton end.
