i recieved a letter today from WONGA saying welcome to wonga, your orignal loan amount, your repayment due and amount owed....
now i've never ever joined one of these sites, nor would i. i have emailed them demanding an apology and explanation.
is this just a marketing ploy to get me to join by offering me a good repayment vaulues ect or.

Sounds very dodgy to me, I would make sure you haven't been a victim of identity theft by phoning them straight away, used the number on their website incase the letter is a scam

Don't want to alarm you but it does sound like you have been a victim of impersonation

Just keep trying to get it sorted, contact your bank see if a direct debit has been setup.

Contact your bank, make sure there is no agreement in place with them and also make sure they block any attempt by them to charge your debit card.
