1962, WBA home. Won 3-2 I think. Then got relegated of course. Vague memories. Sat in the Canton stand with my father and godfather - both now gone.

Best game was when we beat Spurs 3 - 2 at Ninian, the year Spurs won the Double, over 50k at the ground, also was in the Canton v the Gunners, when Tappy Tapscott punched the ball into the net, great days.

Bloody hell, seeing that in the Echo has brought the memories flooding back, Graham Moore, Danny Malloy, Derek Tapscott, Graham Vearnacombe, Barrie Hole, Steve Gammon, Colin Hudson, Alan Durban, Ron Stitfall, Peter King to name some of my boyhood favourites, seeing there faces has brought it all back.
