Parking

Mon Apr 15, 2013 4:54 pm

I usually catch the train down to home games but tomorrow I have to drive down. Where is the best place to park? Is it a good idea parking at the ground because every time I leave the ground after games there seem to be huge queues and I dont want to be sitting round for ages after the game! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

If you have a disabled badge, then near the garage/church near Jubilee Park. If not the stadium car parking is very impossible to get a spot unless you have a season ticket there(a ST for the parking spot) unless you get down very early but with a sell out crowd expected again you may have no luck.

With parking, be aware that the retail park has number plate recognition, so fines will come for illegal parking. Bessemer Road parking open

Retail park is fine.

Tickets are from private company so unenforceable

I park in the Asda car park every time, no problem.

If your getting there early and going back to Barry or link road direction try leckwith hill, gets busy though so get there early.

Or why not try Sloper Road? You can normally park on the pavement somewhere along there providing you're there at least 45 mins before kick off.
I always love the atmosphere of walking down Sloper Road in a crowd to the car after a good win! (and I've then got a 3 hour drive home!)

Try the street opposite Jubilee Park, try and get near the end of the street so quicker to get out. :ayatollah:

if you go down sloper road (heading way from the stadium) when you see lights by the vauxhall garage turn right and park along that road! i've had no problem there whatsoever, and always space if you're there before 6

ive herd this a few times that the retail park fines are not enforceable. how is that?

Re: Parking

because its a private company and not enforced by the laws
if you do get a ticket on your screen ignore it, and dont get in touch with them even when they send you two more letters stating the fine has gone up

How many times do we have to say it: the Retail Parking Fines are pretty much unenforceable ;) :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
