Time & Time Again This Season.........

Mon Apr 15, 2013 11:00 am

We have gone into games and I've had the fear element creep in that I've had in virtually all games in previous seasons.

But there has been something refreshingly different this season. It hasn't been every game like the previous two or three seasons. I've not thought 5 mins before kick off we will win this easy!!! Never have.

Just a pleasing frame of mind that I know and we all know that the players will give it there all.
A passion that I've never seen before, a huddle at the beginning of each game that in previous years didnt always happen.

Very few arguments between themselves on the pitch, I recall Forest away one season when Marshall had a spat and a push and a shove with a City player live on TV and I just thought "oh great" :(

One man.....Malky Mackay has stood head & shoulders above a lot of previous managers we have had. :malky: :malky:

Shrewd transfers in to the club have proven that when a team gels like our boys have it results in good consistent performances that can and almost has with us reached our goal.....PROMOTION :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

In 35 years of supporting the Bluebirds this is by far the best season and yes mainly cos of where we are heading (hopefully Tuesday evening) but also cos of all the above............ :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

That player that Marshall had an argument with was Gerrard ( I think).

Agree with this mate.

Especially the huddle, it shows how much the players want it and how much they are in it together. I can remember the grange end booing every team that had a team huddle visiting Ninian Park. Shows how hard and well Malky has worked to create a squad with this much positivity flowing through it.

Also we seem to have the rub of the green this season. When you think of Watford at home and we were struggling to break them down and they had a 1-0 lead, only for them to get 2 players sent off and we get a penalty and win the game in the final few seconds with a goal against 9 men.

Then there have been last minute (or last quartre goals) in many games (remember Huddersfield the first game of the season?) and again on Saturday we got a sending off in our favour.

They say decisions even themselves out over the course of a season, but this season we have had some luck.

But there again I think we were due some :D especially when you think of Preston and 6-0 in 2009

I'm sure winning the bandit didn't compensate for that complete load of shite. I can remember the 5-1 at Sheffield United in 1971 (I think?) but that result at Preston beat everything.

TBH if it wasn't for the possible riches of the Premiership you would even think the club did it on purpose  it was that much of a riduclous result.
