THE FEAR OF FAILURE

Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:41 pm

Just been having a chat to my old mate Corky and we came to the conclusion that the excitement and pleasure one gets from winning promotion or certain game such as local derbies and the like,is in second place compared to the pain of failing.

The pain you feel from losing can eat away at you so much the relief at not failing is even more pleasurable than the buzz from winning, not that straight forward but when I look at my own situation, it just about sums it up, great to win and succeed but losing certain games hurts so much, that defeat against Stoke in the play offs, put me in a dpression for around three months, mad really, but never pretended to be sane anyway. :old:

The Atmosphere at the stadium the last few seasons has been subdued due to so much failure. Saturday you could feel the weight taken off the fans shoulders and the relief all around the stands when we went two and three nil up..

Yup pretty well summed up. You could see it in the crowd yesterday and we had a good atmosphere again :ayatollah:

Everything has been magnified this season with the rebrand, you can taste the tension, we have been chasing the dream ever since we got into the stadium and there has always been an unrealistic sense of expectation.

When Rudy hit the third I smiled for the first time in 3 years........

We are much better fans with our backs against the wall...... May be fun next season.
